Nice enough Dr but really apathetic, unhelpful and rude front desk person. Won't be returning.

I now have new hearing aides and am very satisfied. I cannot say enough positive things about Allison. But part of the front office role is managing the schedule efficiently and keeping patients on time just like you expect us to be in time. It's really important that the front office knows how to manage appointments and stay on top of their responsibilities, because it affects everyone's time and experience. I hope moving forward, you'll work on improving that part of your role. It was very frustrating too wait over an hour just for a follow up visit. The front office girl kept saying we need to see the Audiolgist, which we did not, we seen her last visit there , which was out first visit. She was very uneducated on how to run the front office- seemed like she had no clue what was going on. I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone. We found this office off my moms Iinsurance- we were told they take the insurance until it was time to get hearing AIDS then she had no coverage. No transparency here and lack of knowledge!!

I spent the last 43 years not hearing out of my right ear. Numerous doctors and audiologists told…read moreme there was no hope; the nerve was dead. Some said their hearing aid would help, but when I tried it, they were wrong. Having loved music and even singing with groups at various places, once the right ear no longer worked properly I could not hear well enough to harmonize. That was a disappointing thing, but another was when I realized that even talking on the phone was impossible if I used the right ear. Soon I also discovered that I could not tell what direction noise came from. Being young I developed a great lip reading ability and adjusted to what I was told couldn't be fixed. Fast forward to December of 2016.... when I was referred to Dr. Feehs at Denver Ear Associates. Jennifer, one of the audiologists heard my story and discussed with Dr. Feehs how my nerve actually did respond to stimuli. A week later I saw him and he explained that a surgery called Stapedectomy would likely restore at least some hearing in that ear. Can you imagine? Some hope after over four decades! Surgery was performed in February and I am thrilled to once again be hearing in stereo. I can use the right ear on the phone now, and am able to tell what direction a noise is coming from after all these years. I can't recommend this facility, the staff, and Dr. Feehs highly enough.

Dr. Hakim and his amazing surgical team performed ablations and my pain level diminished so much that I hardly noticed it. Dr Hakim is kind, knowledgeable, skilled and caring. I could not ask for more in a doctor, In addition to Dr Hakim, his PA, Tara DeCrescentis is also extremely professional, highly-educated and compassionate. She was able to evaluate me and explain in great detail what my issues were and how they could be resolved. She filed the necessary paperwork for insurance immediately and I was quickly approved and scheduled for the procedure. Again, one couldn't ask for more in a medical professional. I also want to acknowledge the rest of the staff who followed-up with clear pre-op instructions and post-op check-in. Annie and Lexie were both a wonderful help in several communications when I was working with my insurance company. They, too, were great at follow-up and keeping me posted. Unlike some, I'm not afraid of doctors. (Maybe that's because my dad is a physician.) I believe…read morein seeing specialists whenever applicable. A year ago, my primary care doc sent me to Dr. Nicolette Picerno (ENT) at Associates of Otolaryngology after a series of ear infections. (Yes, you can get them as an adult! And yes, I agree with the crying babies and kids out there--ear infections hurt!). This year, I had another run with chronic ear aches. My ENT then suggested that I get an allergy test to pinpoint the cause of my sinus/ear congestion. It turns out that The Associates of Otolaryngology group is associated with Allergy Consultants--very convenient. In fact, they share a lobby. The staff at Allergy Consultants have a challenging job. They're giving allergy shots to dozens of patients each day. Let's face it--most people don't like needles and shots. And the thing about allergy shots is that it's a therapy with a long life cycle--there's no instant gratification here. Really, I think the staff is the best! I've only known them for about a month, but I trust them as experts in their field. A 90-minute allergy consultation plus 20-minute bi-weekly visits for shots will do that, build rapport. It's a bonus that they're not only good at what they do, but they're also good company. After all, I'll be seeing them weekly for the next three to five years for my allergy shots. (I've suffered from spring and fall allergies my entire life and I'm so glad that I've committed to a solution that will benefit me for a lifetime.) The staff has taken the opportunity to get to know me as an individual, and I'm learning more about them with each visit, too. I trust them with more than just my shots, though. First, I lent them my ER DVDs. (For a girl that's addicted to medical dramas, that shows how much I really like them.) And in honor of Halloween coming up, I lent my Twilight series DVDs. (Those are dear to me, as well. The Twilight books rock, too, BTW!) So in summary, I'm saying this is a 5-star operation! (Now, if I could only remember to check-in every time I visit them.... We're always chatting, so the time I spend there flies.)

He relies…read moreheavily on fear to push vulnerable patients toward surgery--particularly those who are exhausted, undiagnosed, and desperate for answers. He presents himself as the first doctor who "finally understands" what's wrong. The relief is overwhelming. You feel seen. You may even break down in his office because, at last, someone claims to have an explanation. That emotional response is part of the problem. If he gives you a diagnosis, verify it--twice--through independent specialists not affiliated with him. Dr. Hepworth sent me down a frightening two-year rabbit hole with a diagnosis of a CSF leak. He claimed I had a possible cephalocele, a sinus infection that had eroded bone at the roof of my nose, a CSF leak through a skull defect, and a possible skull base fracture. He explicitly warned that if I became ill, bacteria or a virus could travel into my brain, causing meningitis and death. When I sought a second opinion, he referred me to one of his neurologist colleagues, who supported his conclusions. After extensive evaluation and testing at the Mayo Clinic, not a single one of Dr. Hepworth's diagnoses was correct. The actual cause of my symptoms was orthostatic hypotension. Do your research. Be skeptical of fear-based medicine. And don't give up on finding accurate answers--but make sure they come from unbiased, reputable specialists.
