Very good facility... My 86 year-old sister has been here for almost 2 weeks and I have been visiting her for almost a week. When I originally read the yelp reviews, I was horrified... I live in Tennessee and flew to Chicago to see what was going on and was extremely pleased at what I have found. Yes, it takes some time when they call for help for someone to get there because there are lots of patients Who call for assistance over and over and over and over because they have no family members of friends that are here helping. It actually could be a little bit cleaner, and it could be cleaned more often in the rooms and the laundry and linens could be tended to better for sure. I took my sister's clothes home and washed them and brought them back. The people, however, are amazing! Every nurse and every attendant and the staff have all been delightful... It's clear sometimes they are quite frustrated because the could benefit from improved processes, but they are very nice people. There is definitely room for improvement in the business processes, but if a loved one is here and friends or family are willing to participate, it all is quite functional and good. There's a Starbucks coffee in the facility, they make a good variety of foods here that are not only served to the patients, but are available for purchase to visitors, the sitting areas are delightful with lots of glass out onto very lovely landscapes. If someone has to be in physical therapy for a short time at a facility like this, there are plenty of opportunities for it to be a good experience. read more

Ignite Medical Resort is the worst rehabilitation facility in the world. For background my grandma was sent there for physical rehab after having a stroke. Now the PT it self is very good but the stay is horrible. First, the rooms are pretty disorganized there was a wheelchair in her shower but it was not even her wheelchair. Second, my grandma was not given the medical care that she needed. Last, my grandma had medical emergency and had to leave. After she left they threw all of her belongings in garbage bags very roughly without even asking us when she would return. Some of her personal belongings were broken. read more

Horrible care understaff. Need to take care of yourself. No showers for weeks. Pt staff under great stress mix covid patients with rehab and have mental health units mixed with rehab have lock downs at night. Pretty when you walk in but the buck stops there. Very sad read more

It is without question that this is not a luxury resort. The food is par, lacks taste and served when they feel like serving, morning is best, then lunch can come 12-2:30, and dinner 4-7:30. Most the nurses and therapist are great, but there's also some scary ones. Then we come to the CNA's....some are there in a heartbeat, while others are lazy, fat, and come when they choose to tend to your needs. I've had to lay in a soiled diaper for over an hour, causing severe rash. They stole a prescribed pain med from me, and since have not replaced. I have been at Ignite 3 times not and vow not to go back there. read more

My mother has been receiving PT, OT and speech therapy there since her recent stroke. All of the therapists are personable, professional and caring. This facility is absolutely the place to be for rehab therapy services! read more

my wife spent two weeks in this beyond poor patient care. Push your nurse call and waiting up to 2 hour. I had to go to the nurses station many times to find a few nurses sitting there talking and playing on their phones. Only one meal out of three per day over her two weeks stay was correct as she ordered it. When care givers came in to get her up for a shower they would tell her they would be right back and then NEVER come back. This happened many times over her stay. She even had the director of nursing and the head chef come see her to bring the issues to their attention and no improvement during her stay. After two weeks of all this aggravation she checked herself out. even though it is a nice building and listed as Luxury I would never put one of my loved ones in this facility. read more

I was sent to Ignite a year ago for rehabilitatin and found this department first raye! Christmas day I arrived back here to isolate from covid. So far there is a bare skeleton staff, poor organization and no. Management to correct major problems. My room refrigerator leaks, call button broken. Meals arrive a late hours ( lunch today was 3 pm) and dinner never showed up. I was given a hand full m of cookies and orange juice. As a diabetic this is death. Medications are not scheduled and are missing. Again, rehabilitation is first rate so pack food and your own meds.​ read more

Please please avoid at all costs. My dad was here for three weeks in the summer. He has Alzheimer's and began regressing so insurance cut him off. We wanted an update about his skill level from the PT 's and Avalon was supposed to make that happen and I even have a voice mail telling me she would. When he was discharged the nurse spoke very poor English and it was very difficult to understand. My dad could not even walk to get into the car. He also had bruises on his back. He was bedridden and 5 days later ended up back in the hospital. And now he is home with hospice care. I do not feel like the people in charge at Ignite even cared about my dad and avoided eye contact with us. Please do your research before putting your loved one here. read more

My mother is here now. This is the most miserable place we've ever been. It LOOKS great. But it ends there. She waits an hour for a bedpan. They barely clean her after, and she's complaining about how sore she is because of it. They lost her phone once. FYI , mom doesn't have legs anymore so she can't do much at all. Don't like the meal you got? Too bad, here's a fig newton for the diabetic. Mom's hair is knotted, she hasn't been washed since she's been here, 2 weeks tomorrow. I'm here now and she asked for her pain meds a half hour ago, still don't have it. She's crying every time she calls me and just bursts into tears while I'm here but no mental health care. Her eyes have changed color but no one has addressed that either. Mom is very large and they don't have "briefs" to fit her so she sits in urine waiting hours for a change. When I come here to visit, I see more employees than I can count standing near a desk, or sitting in one of the common areas. The bed she's in makes horribly loud noises moving. She's not told what meds she's being given. I could go on and on, but I'm here with her now and she needs me more than this. How is it even possible for this place to be so bad? read more

I am so upset I read these reviews after my grandfather was there. He's 89 and went there for therapy for a fracture hip n crushed vertebrae and they started "treating" him for Alzheimer's. They regressed him so badly the two weeks he was there. The doctored lied, did t listen. He sat in pissy diapers n was fed blended slop for food. The staff was so incompetent. The social worker was all about keeping him there for the insurance money not at all about the health of my grandfather. I've never seen such a shit hole. It DOES look nice, but done judge a book by its cover! They have to make up for their shotty care some how. I wouldn't even give them one star but no stars wasn't an option. read more

DON'T. Just don't. This place is a Medicare FRAUD Facility. Plain and simple. It's on my to-do list to report them to the proper channels. My mom went in and the orientation the day after was amazing, and she loved the fake fireplace in the room. After the "orientation" where she was promised PT / OT almost every day and consistent nursing care, they literally ignored her. The only reason they paid any attention to her was because my dad and I were there for all hours of visiting hours and we had to constantly find them. PT never came, by the way, and neither did OT. Mom literally cried loudly, "Help me! Help me!!!" and they had no idea what to do. She was incontinent and they didn't even bother to change her, so she got a life-threatening UTI and they had to call the ambulance to take her back to the hospital...and this is AFTER they already knew mom had fought for her life in the ICU with sepsis literally as critical as it could get. Then when she was released from the hospital and back to the Medicare FRAUD Facility, she tested positive for COVID (which, to this day, I DON'T believe she had, and they said that because they didn't want me and dad there all the time) - they put her in the COVID wing where they isolated her for 10 days and told us we couldn't visit. My mom literally lost her mind and called me to come get her. She had to sleep with Kleenex over her face because the flies were accumulating and landing on her because they didn't remove the food trays for 5 days!!! We were trying to pull her out of there (they have no legal right to keep her against her will) but no one would talk to us; and when mom and I were talking, she went silent and unresponsive. I called the desk to send a nurse in there RIGHT NOW, and it took them 15 minutes. Finally, the nurse picked up the phone and told me they called the ambulance because she was unresponsive. You guessed it - another UTI! Food was terrible whenever they decided to bring it and they didn't pick up dirty trays. We brought her home after that hospital stay and dad and I have been caring for her with the help of the amazing home health care, PT, and OT. She recently went into the hospital again due to weakness (high calcium levels) and had a roommate for the first time. The funny thing was her husband was talking to the doctor about where to take her when she's released and he said he wanted to go to Ignite, and in very short order I shouted, "DON'T!" And the doctor said, "Yeah, what she said... We have the highest return rate for patients from Ignite." A little later her husband was talking about going somewhere else because of what he heard me say..."No, no, no, and have I mentioned no, and also...NO!" Pay attention. When you drive by that place, take notice of how many times an ambulance is there...yet another victim of the Medicare FRAUD Facility named Ignite. Yeah, they'll Ignite you all right...Ignite your health right into the hospital and possibly fatal outcomes because they don't know when to recognize an issue until it's a life-threatening emergency. My father stayed here after a fall. They allowed him to fall 4 times while he was a patient and they told us there is nothing they can do. At first they told us he only fell once, but he had new bruises and we felt he fell several more times. They later confirmed he did fall more times after we started questioning them. He doesn't eat beef and they fed him beef. We mentioned it and the next time I had lunch with him, he had a plain salad with a few carrot shavings. That's it. He came home 110 lbs, down from 125lbs. Every time I went to have lunch with him, patients had to wait until 2pm for their lunches when they were supposed to be served around 12:30-1:30. When patients asked when their lunch would be served, staff was rude "you'll get it when it comes out" I heard. Keep your loved ones as far away from this place as possible. Fair Oaks and The Springs are much better facilities. I just saw these employee reviews on indeed which explains a lot. My husband was there for 6 weeks for rehab after being discharged from the hospital with COVID/pneumonia. The gym is great, and the PT who worked with him was excellent. The nursing staff is generally doing the best they can. This place is not comparable to a 5 Star Resort! My husband fell one night trying to go to the bathroom on his own. Fortunately, he just had a bloody scrape on his arm. Weeks later the sheet that had blood on it was still on his bed. One evening he accidentally spilled his water all over the bed. I called for someone to come put a clean sheet on the bed and wipe up the puddle of water. A gal stopped in and said she would do it. An hour later, she had not returned with the clean bedding! The machine that dispenses water and ice near the nurse's station was out of order for weeks. When he was discharged, it still wasn't working. They had a plastic tub of ice and a jar of water sitting out there. The Chef is a good man. When they ran out of crackers on chili night and I complained, he brought up a dinner roll. I would NEVER leave my husband there again. read more

Find another facility. Looks beautiful and the "welcome" team make you feel like your loved one will be taken care of. Not the case, they are severely understaffed, call lights are a joke. Requests are answered with "I'll check with a nurse" or "I'll be right back" with no response for hours. Special medications need to be ordered and can take days to receive. The "special" medication my mother needed was medicated mouthwash and Cloraseptic throat spray she finally received 2 days later. Communication with management and social workers is terrible. Bottom line, they don't care about patients but try to put on a good show to make you believe that they do. read more

Avoid this place for your loved one. The PT rehab is non existent. My grandfathers shoulder is worse when he left, than when he went in. I took him to a specialist after he left, and they said ignite didn't do anything as far as rehab. His shoulder has limited movement because of them. It's suppose to be a rehab facility, the place is bottom of the barrel garbage. read more

These people are currently holding my mother in law hostage (she was told last Monday she would be discharged Thursday and she is still there Sunday night.) Now they are starving her; she just texted us that they skipped her dinner order. The "nurse" managed to find her some potato wedges and graham crackers. That's not a meal for anyone, let alone a diabetic in a medical facility. We should've taken her home when it took them 8 hours to get her a pain pill on the day she was admitted. Don't send your worst enemy to this hell hole. read more

f your loved one is completely independent and just needs physical therapy you will be okay here. If they have any medical issues or need assistance, this will be your Ignitemare. This place is severely understaffed resulting in limited care. There is no care coordination, you must do all the legwork. My loved one declined within 5 days of entering this facility due to the lack of care provided. She was hospitalized shortly upon discharge. You are locked in a unit where the help (which is scarce) has to badge you in and out. Very often locked in the front or unit door or locked out. Response to call light is to shut off from desk repeatedly or shut it off without providing the help requested. You are stuck with their doctor who is unavailable. Saw him once in 26 days. It is very difficult to get anyone but the receptionist to answer their phones or call you back. The management group is uncaring and terrible at running this place. Only positive is physical therapy when they show up is good. read more

It's a beautiful place it's too bad they keep taking in more patients $$ when they don't have enough CNA's to go around to care for the patients they already have. My father had horrible horrible service I shouldn't say service since they didn't even come and check on him since he was at end of hall. He did contract Covid they moved him after it took 5 days for result of test. Meanwhile we didn't know and continued seeing him. His wife did get Covid and still is having problems. Then they moved him back to original room for a couple of days then moved him again, they didn't bring any of his necessary medication's to nurse where he was moved to. I did go to his original room to get cream for bed sore, Then I saw food containers from 3 days before. I took all of it to nurse station and said this is from Friday it's Sunday today one nurse actually smirked!! Very disgusted with this place would not recommend it for care of a dog.if there were negative stars it would be -10 read more
