Today, we arrive and it is a full house. The first two times we came, we watched the pastor preach via a live broadcast. The pastor was at another local branch, but the message was meant to every branch of the church, so it was broadcast to everyone. I inquired if it was like that every Sunday. It was explained that they only do that when a message is part of a series, so that if people go to various branches of the church, they won't feel lost. This third Sunday, the pastor was at this Weslaco branch and other branches were receiving the broadcast. Newcomers aren't put on the spotlight and embarrassed. As a newcomer, being asked to stand up, or worse, to go the front of the church with everyone watching can be intimidating. However, at this church, at the end of the service, they dismiss the congregation and ask for newcomers, who want to, to approach the front if they wish to be prayed for. We approached the front and Dina, the choir director, prayed for my family. We were given a tour of the facility and explained things we had questions for. Overall, this continues to be a good experience.
