I admit I don't go there everytime I need something as I'm a bit of an opportunistic shopper, but every couple of weeks I specifically head there for a couple of boxes of goods. There are some things I just know: the tomatoes and apples will be good and cheap, the avo's will be close to ripe, the fresh herbs are big and lush and I can pull right up to the door. Some items cost more but it's always there for me; from 6am to 10pm seven days a week, all year round - that's incredible. It has a great range and it's obvious that owner Alan has a love of smallgoods and deli items; it has a well stocked delicatessen and I often drop in to pick up some really nice olives or yoghurt; there are even specialty items like lovely pastas. OK, I'm sounding like a foodie and maybe I am a bit, but what I'm not is a snob with it; that turns me off. There's no pretention in this place but there's lots of friendly service, a community rewards program and a damn good range of goods for a little local shop.
