We got breakfast here but there's lots of fresh groceries and meat available as well as on site pizza. The eggs, sausage and potato box we got was not bad. Pretty standard fare, eggs were a bit on the rubbery side, but otherwise was good. The fruit platter we got was fresh as was the parfait. Service is great - people are very helpful and open to answering questions. Only a few tables to eat in but the mall has more seating.

Today I tried something new and has the chicken stir fry. Service A: The kind gentleman cooked it right in front of me. The veggies were cooked but still had that crisp. Wide variety of veg: broccoli. Peppers, mushrooms, onions, zucchini and chicken breast. It is then put on jasmine rice. At the end you will be asked if you want green onion, lime and coriander. The sauce they use is a mix of umami and sweet. Just enough was on the veggies to ensure your meal wasn't drenched. I've always been impressed with Farm Boys high quality of ingredients and will continue to go back. I've had their hot bar and salad bar which are delicious. There is something for everyone.

My first visit to a Whole Foods Market was years ago, after completing a job interview in Yorkville…read morein Toronto. I definitely remember what I got: a slice of tiramisu. At that time, it was the only Whole Foods in the greater Toronto area. Whole Foods has grown on me, likely because Markham has one and I frequent it often. I don't fit the profile of a typical Whole Foods shopper who tends to carry expensive handbags, must get everything organic, and can afford all things expensive, including tiny bottles of elixirs that extend their years on planet Earth. I like their dairy-free items. I love Carbonaut bread and the entire bakery section, including tiramisu. There are specific items that I get at this store. If I'm looking for romaine lettuce or celery, you'll likely see me at a grocery store that offers these items at normal, cheaper prices. Four years ago, I was in the Glebe and saw this Whole Foods store. I didn't go in. I had already got what I needed at a Metro. On my most recent visit, after spending a few hours exploring the area with a friend, I realized that I needed almond beverage and lemons. I had yet to set foot in any grocery store. They were good reasons to check this store out. I had parked underground. The elevator got me to this store. I exited the elevator on the main floor to hit Winners. This store has a cafe that occupies the entire floor. It was busy just before noon. People must love getting coffee and a baked good here. When I returned just past 5 pm, you could hear crickets on this floor. The cafe was closed. It was different. My local one is still open when I'm there at 7 pm. I have yet to hit the cafe at any Whole Foods location. I took the escalator up to the second floor, which is where the entire supermarket is. I immediately found almond beverage. Organic. Sugar-free. Perfect. I also found the produce area. The Rainier cherries looked good. They were also so expensive that I blocked the price out and moved on. I got a couple of lemons. You could get a bag of six. The price was the same if you calculated how much one lemon was going for, so you might as well pick your own pristine-looking lemons. I looked around. It has the usual salad and hot food bars. You pay by weight, which does add up if you aren't careful. There were lots of snacks and drinks to choose from. A can of flavoured carbonated water was going for $2.69. It makes you wonder how this store determines the prices that it sets. It was enjoyable looking at the plants and flowers. It's a nice grocery store. I had an equally nice woman at the checkout area. I paid for my items with a debit card. I didn't need a bag. My lemons were already in one, so I carried it and my carton of almond beverage to the elevator. It was convenient taking the elevator down to the underground parking lot. I walked to my car, paid for parking, and left. The lemons and almond beverage were great. I'm glad that I got what I needed at this store. I had a fun time shopping here. It's my second Whole Foods that I've been to where it has two floors. We'll see if I return in another four years. Maybe I'll try the cafe... haha! (262)

The Short Version: Small grocery store in Chinatown. Has a…read moregood selection of products at reasonable prices. The Longer Version: This small grocery store reminds me of the small grocery stores my mom used to take me to on weekends in Toronto's Chinatown when I was a kid. The store is not all that aesthetically pleasing, and some would consider it dingy looking, but it is functional. I like coming here for dried noodles. They also have cakes and cookies from Hung Loi bakery in Toronto. Prices are reasonable and selection is decent. I like small independent grocery stores, but I fear they are a dying breed. So while these days you can get lots of Asian items at mainstream supermarkets like Loblaws, Metro and Sobeys, I do prefer to support the little guys when I can. #172 (2025)

It's a little Polish grocery store with a deli, in the same strip mall as a Cosmo Prof, Solea and Cypress Garden. Their cold cuts are excellent and the prices are very reasonable. I love the dried kabanosy here - quite easily the best in the city (however, as of late they have been a little more fatty than usual, hopefully they will revert back to using more lean meats). The kielbasa here is delicious, very garlicky and meaty (second only to the now defunct European Meat Market in Kensington Market in Toronto). They also have desserts here. They have a rich and creamy cheesecake and some delicious meringues (brought in from Montreal). They also have the poppy seed roll found in most Polish delis. I haven't tried it, but it looks good. Reasonable prices on the polish grocery items. I love the Vegeta multipurpose seasoning. They even have the one without MSG! If you love kabanosy and/or kielbasa you have to try the ones here!

This is my local Farm Boy. It's relatively new and was the first "urban concept" store in Ottawa…read more Which means it's smaller than regular stores and basically geared towards yuppies, lol. Farm Boy is a grocery store. They have a good prepared foods section, bakery, and produce department. They have a house brand called "Farm Boy" which has a good selection of products. Unlike the house brand of other stores, Farm Boy brand items are not really cheaper than national brands and in many cases, are even more expensive, but their quality is quite good. This particular location would be a bit of a pain in the butt if you have to drive there because the parking lot for customers (free) is tiny and always full. There is a paid parking lot there too, but I don't know of many people who would be agreeable to pay for parking to do their grocery shopping. It's within walking distance from my house, so I don't have to worry about such, but I can see it as a problem for non-locals. I appreciate the opening of a Farm Boy in my neighbourhood because I like choices and variety, but admittedly I don't like this location as much as their larger locations that are more spacious with more selection of products.

Ciao for now!
