She originally had 2 teachers who we loved, about a month after they both left but the next 2 teachers who started in the room are awesome as well! We worried about the transition to new teachers but it was flawless. I love that we can see her on the camera and we get updates throughout the day also. I know exactly what she eats, when she naps, what activities she does and they even post pictures. We are always well informed of everything that happens which is so great. Her teachers Ms Alexis and Ms Cindy are so great and it shows how much they enjoy being with the children and helping them learn. Our daughter is blossoming in their care.

The transition was painful since the school decided to undergo remodel without closing, it was basically a construction site for a few weeks. We took vacation time and was promised everything will be done by the time we get back so we did not pull him out. The director Ms. Vanessa and Ms. Lindsey that remained from the CIJS management team were also a big reason in our decision of staying. My son has speech and language delay and can get really upset with changes, therefore we stuck through hoping this way he wouldn't need to adjust to a new school and leave the people that he had become close to. We did like the curriculum of AEA but started to notice a big turn over rate of the teachers when he was in the 3 year old classroom, there is a few times we were not even able to learn the teacher's name before she is no longer with AEA. During that time Ms. Vanessa also left but the transitional director Ms Domi was amazingly organized, attentive and reliable, whenever we encountered an issue she was able to communicate and actively providing a solution to resolve the problem. We also started attending both AEA and Longwood Elementary's speech and language program and Ms. Domi was able to work with us through some potty training issue we had due to transitioning between the classrooms. She stepped down to be assistant director after AEA found a new director Ms. Jennifer in spring of 2019. Later on of the year while he is in the 4 year old VPK classroom the amount of students become so large that they have to split it into two but everyone still share the same classroom just with a divider in the middle which doesn't stop the noises from affecting each side. I understand they want to maximize the space but shouldn't the quality of the learning environment for their students and teachers be prioritized? As a parent I believe keeping an open communication with my son's school is the key to assist him in his education journey so I had numerous conversations with his teachers from both AEA and Longwood Elementary school. Unfortunately even though both schools are willing to inform me of my son's area of improvement, only Longwood Elementary was able to provide constructive feedbacks with helpful suggestions so that I can also be on the same page with him at home. ======= I have written the above review back in March of 2020 shortly before we pulled him out of AEA, I sit on my thoughts for almost half a year now to give myself time to process and view the situation objectively. I finally decided to post my review as of today, September 13 2020. In the end we had parent teacher conference almost weekly but were told the same thing each time; basically just that the school/teacher doesn't know how to work with my child's need so instead of redirecting and guiding him to be on task they just let him do what he wants to avoid tantrums. I know he still had some great time and made some good friends at AEA, but unfortunately even without the outbreak of COVID-19 we would have pulled him out or probably be suggested to leave the school anyway which we felt was suggested during the conferences with the director. I understand each child/family's experience with a school is unique to themself, so I can only share what my family had experienced. AEA's teachers and staff are all very caring and loving although some might lack the experience or training in working with students with special needs. I hope by sharing my experience AEA can become an amazing school for every student that walks through their door.

My youngest daughter has been attending this school since she was two years old. This Wednesday,…read moreshe begins VPK. The school is Christian centered, so if that's not your thing, conduct yourself accordingly. The staff is mostly Latino, so your child will be receiving an English speaking education, with some Spanish influence. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this institution. They truly care about your child, and the staff is amazingly attentive to their education. I am truly pleased with the progress that my child has made in the years that she has been here. The staff is very responsive to questions and does their best to include everyone. The school is a very diverse collective of staff and students, and they encourage learning about different cultures and events. My biggest concern is my child being safe; no problem there. The staff is attentive and make sure that the children are given everything they need. I'm a little apprehensive that this is my daughter's last year here. I hope that her next institution is half as good as Meadows!

Center Academy has been such a blessing for my son. The most important part of our experience is…read morethe academic strides my son has made while at Center Academy. Public school was not working at all for him, even with an IEP and extra help. He fell so far behind that it ended up hurting his mental health. I immediately pulled him out of public school in the middle of his 5th grade year. Once he started at Center Academy that same year, he became a new child. As far as social aspects, my son had a hard time in public school because other children didn't really understand him or relate to him. He had a hard time making connections with students, but at Center Academy, since the children understand each other and know that they are there because they face some of the same difficulties, they are compassionate towards one another and they understand each other. It's easier for them to make connections and friends. All the teachers are great. I have yet to have a complaint about any teacher. They are very understanding and compassionate towards the students. They are great at communicating, great at keeping order in the classroom and making it a positive and enjoyable learning experience. The same goes for the administration. They truly care for their students as if they were their own children. Every child has different needs and in some cases health issues. The faculty and staff have always done everything they could to help accommodate my son whenever he's needed it. The students are acknowledged as individuals and they are not expected to "fit in a box." With smaller classrooms and two teachers per classroom, they get the attention and help they need which wasn't possible in public school. The teachers and assistants are always there to help. The students enjoy field trips throughout the year and the school has various family activities throughout the year. My son went from getting C's, D's, and F's to A's and B's every semester and even all A's some semesters. The teachers challenge the students and they make sure they don't stay stagnant and they help them reach their full potential. This is where I've seen the biggest academic strides with my son. He went from writing maybe five sentences to being able to fill a whole page with writing. It was hard for him to get his thoughts on paper, but he no longer has that issue. He volunteers to read out loud which he never would've done previously. He went from needing someone to sit next to him in order to get his work done or having to be constantly redirected, to doing his work completely unassisted and even going around to help other students with their work. My son has great relationships with the teachers, teacher's assistants, and faculty and he even feels comfortable talking to them about what's going on in his life. His self-esteem went up, his confidence went up, he came out of his shell, and he honestly became a new child thanks to the help from Center Academy. My son is now in 11th grade and right on track to graduate next year. I could never thank the faculty and staff at Center Academy enough.

Any issues or concerns are immediately addressed by the director and rectification is communicated with me. The women who staff the room are nurturing and truly care about the babies. Conway seemed to be lack of staff. Communication never aligned, excuse after excuse. The director seemed to avoid conversation and wouldn't speak to me unless I would engage into conversation. The Summer program was not followed though. Over half of the activities and field trips never happened. One of the fieldtrips my child attended didn't even have our permission to attend!?!? Lack of activities was very disappointing. What were we paying for? $1600 for what???? Live The video definitely displayed the lack of supervision of the children at most times. Children pushing each other and none the wiser? Ridiculous! The language being tolerated while at camp and coming back to my home was very unnerving. Lunches, we'll as I know, the facility follows a health program. I was never provided a weekly menu. Child would be picked up hungry. This has been very disappointing experience. Once he moved from the infant side to the toddler side, though, we started to have problems. My son would come home from this school with mysterious bruises and scratches and we were always told that it was from rough-housing with another kid. Then we saw that one of the teachers from this school was arrested for child abuse while at this facility and we immediately pulled our son out. Turns out that all of the marks on him were given to him by a teacher and not another student. I didn't blame Park Avenue for this at first as there will always be bad apples that slip through any screening process, but they refused to accept responsibility and even allegedly physically threatened another parent who complained of this issue. Also, don't forget that this institution is owned by Tim Davis, the former Orlando Police officer who shot and killed his own son. Every time I drive by this place, I hope to see it closed but that has yet to happen. NEVER take your child here.
