From the start to finish (the check in person, the instructor, the time keeper/solo music woman and the entire crew), it was a 10/10! The staff is professional, helpful, informative, personable and energetic enough to make the flyer (and observers) have a really fun time! My daughter had Donnie B. You definitely feel they enjoy their 'job' and that they want the flyer to enjoy it enough to want to come back! Optional add-ons (high fly, extra time, return visit deals) are mentioned but they are in no way pushy. I highly recommend going on a weekday because it is more chill and relaxed. Went to IFLY for their 10-min AFF training program to get better free-fall control for my 2nd attempt of my category C jump. My instructor Noah was incredibly helpful, coaching me calmly and very patiently through all the mechanics. Taking time between each 1 min 45 sec session to review the flight and give helpful feedback with great encouragement. For Xmas I gave my 9-yo granddaughters iFly sessions with Granny and today was our day. We arrived early for our 10:30 slot and learned the time slots are 30 minutes before you actually fly. During that time they will suit you up, get your helmet, earpl & goggles, and teach you the hand signals they'll use. We watched a few minutes of the class ahead of us and then we were up! The twins wanted me to go first, so I did. The wind tunnel is crazy and you enter arms above your head and belly flop into the wind. I found it easy to keep my form and REALLY enjoyed the high fly. Our instructor, Donnie, was very fun and made the experience better. The girls did well but passed on their second flight because they felt it was hard to breathe. They said they would have liked a face shield like Donnie. iFly is easy to find by Ridgedale mall, has plenty of parking space and the facility is bright and clean. This is a great place for adults and kids! I always wanted to try skydiving after a few family members have done it, but I'm a scaredy cat. iFly is the best solution! I booked a date and time for my husband and I. Since it was our first time, I booked the 4 flights with high fly. I also had the media package, which I highly recommend, otherwise you can buy each photos or videos individually, but that gets expensive. Parking: This facility shares a parking with Cafe Zupas and Ichhido Ramen and a few other stores. I went on a Saturday, which parking was almost full at an 11:00am appointment. Upon arrival: When you check in, a staff member will get your weight. (This is for safety.) I think their website stated that you cannot fly if you are over 300 lbs. There is a caution for those over 260 lbs. My husband is slightly 260 lbs. He was able to fly, but instead with one instructor, he had two for safety. In addition, he was not able to do the high fly, so that add-on was refunded. After check-in: Your instructor will help you pick out your gear: helmet, jumpsuit, and goggles. If you forgot your hair tie, they have some available. Your instructor will have you store your belonging in the lockers. I felt like my belongings were safe. Everything is kind of in one area. Your instructor will bring you into the classroom to review safety protocols. Afterwards, it is time to fly. After everyone has flown, they had us go into another room to remove our gear and receive our certificate. My experience: I never felt motion sickness or felt like I was free falling. I felt safe the entire time. My instructor was with me the whole time. The instructor and the personnel outside the wind tunnel will help direct you. When I did the high fly, it was very fun. I definitely would do it again. I did see one teenage girl who did not enjoy it. Media package: Since photos and videos were included in my package, within an hour after my flying time, I will receive an email from iFly with a link to my photos and videos to download. If you did not buy the media package, you can purchase photos and videos individually. I believe you can also add-on the package when you check in. The photos are clear and has iFly's name stamped on it. The videos are decent with music included so you don't get the ambient noise from the facility, which is nice. The video might get a snippet of the start of someone else in your group's turn. Overall, it was very fun. I would love to do this again. There was a man in the group who flew solo and doing tricks, but I think that is after a few visits. read more

SO FUN! But so quick... and spendy $$$ too. Definitely a fun, unique and exciting experience, but I couldn't help but think of other fun things I could have bought with that $$$. This would be a fun experience for people who weigh less than 260 pounds, are somewhat flexible and are fairly good at following directions via hand signals. It's about 60 seconds per "flight" and it goes by SO quickly. Prices are per flight per person. For first timers, I recommend a two flight session with a "high flight add-on" for the second flight. Brace yourself for all of the "Add-On"Upsell options: 1. Full face helmets - NO. We've tried both with and without this one and I actually prefer WITHOUT because our pictures were so much better. 2. High Flights - YES. Prices for these went up from $10 to $20 recently, but I would still do it. It's WAY more exciting and memorable. 3. Photos and Videos - NO. Just have a friend come with you to take pictures and videos if you can. I was not as pleased with the quality of the photos/videos they provided vs. footage I've taken on my own. 4. Half price on future flights - YES. At the end of your experience, you'll have the option to buy more flights at a deep discount, but the offer expires when you leave the building. If you like the experience enough to come back (or to gift to others), it really is cheaper than their other promotions I've seen. What to expect: It takes about 1.5 to 2 hours from start to finish. Great experience for online reservations. When I called with questions before booking, they were very friendly and knowledgeable. You must arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled flight. A couple behind us were just 10 minutes late and they couldn't accommodate them that day. Once we arrived at the check-in desk, it took us a little while to sign digital waivers for all the kids (4 teens); waivers are understandably required. Then they (discreetly) weighed each one of us separately. Then we were sent inside to get fitted for suits and helmets. The suits are thin and not-so-flattering for everyone, but they're functional for the wind tunnel and have convenient handles on the back for the instructors to keep a good grasp of you. Folks with long hair are recommended to braid their hair beforehand to prevent snarls. They provided hair ties for those of us who needed one. Everyone is given a satin-like cap to wear under the helmet for sanitary purposes. I've seen group sizes of 4 to 12 people at this iFLY; I think it's just based on who signed up for each time slot. Once everyone was geared up, we headed into a training room with an instructional video, followed by additional tips from our instructor. They teach you some hand signals so you can communicate with your instructor when you're inside the wind tunnel. To get the best bang for your buck, I suggest watching other skydiving informational videos so you'll understand the basics of control and you can use more time "flying" and less time "stabilizing" during your 60 seconds in the wind tunnel. After training, everyone goes to the wind tunnel. There's bench seating just outside of the wind tunnel for the people in your group to wait while everyone takes turns 1:1 with the instructor inside the wind tunnel. The order you sit on the bench is the order you go into the tunnel. I was so nervous for my first flight, but I loved it! I learned it was just easier to sink into the wind (belly at the lowest point, hands and feet a bit higher) instead of wasting energy stiffening muscles to stay on top of the wind. During the "high flights" the instructor does all the work and you just get to hang out in the Superman pose. It was by far the best part of my experience. After everyone's flights are completed, you're brought to this party room in the back where first timers get their flight certificates and they try to upsell you to pre-purchase future flights. This place was fantastic as you walk into the building you have the feel as if you were in a high-tech facility. You start at the front desk and you register and check in all via a bar code and you sign your waiver there too. Then you enter the area with the wind tunnel where the guys were happy to answer all my questions. I was given a tour of the facilities and then met my coach Noah who was amazing. He gave us a classroom overview after fitting us with a helmet and flight suit and then we waited for our turn. It was tons of fun. I did 2 flights to get the feel of it and I enjoyed it. I should have booked 4 but the plan was to go in and find out about coaching not to go in and practice. The coaching was very good and good progress was made. read more

What a fun and exhilarating experience! From when you walk into the door to when you leave, you'll be in for a great time. I'll just get the price out of the way in the beginning. It's QUITE expensive especially for first timers but I would say worth it. The experience is incredibly enhanced with the flying gear. You feel like you're about to go into space. It's a bit frightening at first but once you fall and put your hands and feet up, you're literally flying like never before. The instructors were very helpful, informative, kind, and friendly. They had a good way of making you feel safe. Went in a group of 7 and spent maybe 1 hour total. We were of all ages from 4 years old to 56 and had an amazing time. Sign the waivers, get suited up, attend a brief training and you're in the tube. Our gift certificate included the high rise flight and a video. Visited with a group of 11 year olds and they all really enjoyed the experience. Upon check in waivers we're signed, they were weighed (discreetly) and then off to wait to suit up. After getting fired for flight suits and helmets there was a safety lesson and training then into the flight tunnel they went. Each girl did a low "flight" and then they were supposed to do a high flight. There was a miscommunication so a few girls got an extra flight as they weren't taken high. Each "flight" was about 90 second with the makeups ones being only about 30 seconds. Yes, it was fun but it is a very expensive outing for what feels like a minimal flight time. They do have specials to buy additional flights at a much lowers cost after your first flight but you have to buy them and there. It was fine for a one time thing and is unique but I think you can find other fun outings for a much cheaper price point. read more

Ifly was an incredible experience that was completely worth the money. Our instructor (Paul) was great. He was funny but also took safety very seriously so his professionalism was comforting, especially if you would be nervous for the flight. The training was fast and we were in the tube in no-time. There were 4 of us and we were also with another party of 4. We did 3 flights each and it was worth every penny. It does go by quick but it is oh so fun. Also, it's totally worth the extra $10 to do the high flight at the end where they shoot you way higher into the tunnel. It was highly entertaining to watch the rest of our group do their flights. First, I want to start by saying this review is due solely to one individual at iFly Minneapolis. His name is name is Peter Shen. He is the general manager there. In addition to being the general manager, he is a rude, condescending and egotistical young man with no customer service or interpersonal skills of which I observed. To summarize, my wife and I had reservations for a Wednesday. I received a call from iFly telling me that they were understaffed that day and were rescheduling all appointments. They offered free pics and videos as restitution. I declined and asked for an additional 1 minute each for my wife and I. The polite young man I spoke to apologized that he was unable to authorize such an offer, but directed me to Peter Shen. Peter Shen was immediately assertive and adversarial in tone and word choice. After insinuating that I was lying to him, deflecting his accountability for the scheduling mishap, blaming a third party for the issue and making it clear that he cared not at all about having us as customers, I ended the call. I conferred with my wife, as this venture was for her, and she insisted that we cancel, based on the rudeness of Peter Shen. It turned out that my wife ended up with food poisoning the day that we would have rescheduled for, so we would have ended up losing all that money due to the scheduling foul up. All thanks to Peter Shen. I suppose, in the final analysis, I should be thankful to Peter Shen for being rude enough to make us cancel and saving us the money. Thank you, Peter Shen. read more

What a cool and great experience this was. As luck would have it, we decided to stay local for spring break,scoured the internet for things to do and first day of break was ifly. What a wonderful and informational group of people that work and instruct there. EVERYONE was great. Customer service is above average and like no other. Very impressed! We purchased our tickets on line and signed the waiver on line which can save time when busy. Arrived almost 40 min early for our flight and the girl checking us in was wonderful. So informative and so genuinely friendly and very passionate about their indoor skydiving. She, along with many others came to welcome us and talk to us about the experience. My son loved it! I was a little worried he might not want to do it, but we got to watch the instructors practicing and flying around before his flight which I think helped. Our instructor Paul was great! So nice and so encouraging with my son. He explained what was needed in addition to the video and was very helpful in getting my son to try things. They flew up high which my son initially said no to and then they were up in the air and did a high flight. He received a certificate afterward. Really cool experience! Will definitely return. This time with some more friends. Great bunch of people and what a fun time! Out of curiosity I googled where this company was from. Looks like Austin, TX which makes sense. My instructor was very casual, which is cool, but also clearly preferred talking two the two twenty something women who were in my group than a forty something dude. I sorta got the hang of it, but you really need a lot more time in there to dial it in. Which they are more than happy to pitch you after your flight. Brought the family (mom, dad, 2 daughters age 6 and 7) to Ifly for my birthday and we had a blast. The instructor was very helpful in explaining how to fly. Once we were done with the instructions, they brought us into the waiting area next to the wind tunnel. They started wind up and took us into the tunnel one by one. We did 1 minute flights twice. First time was pretty fun as the instructor helped us fly and the second time we got to fly pretty high with the instructor. Once we're done we scanned our bracelets to see our videos and pictures. We didn't purchase any of them. They did offer a much discounted package to come back and fly again. We did purchase that package. The kids asked if we could go back next weekend. Highlights: Instructor Bradley (Bird) - he was kind, patient and made the kids feel so comfortable and safe. He treated those kids like he was their equal and like he was their big brother! Pizzas from a local shop, fully stocked refridge with "help yourself" rules and the ability to bring in additional food (veggies, cake, etc) were all amazing!!! We hosted a large group event here this past week, just under 70 people, 45 of which "flew". From the time that we started our planning 3 months ago, until the minute we boarded the bus to head back to the hotel, everything went super smoothly! They have a great online reservation system where attendees could complete their waivers ahead of time which really sped up the process once we got there. The staff was super friendly and so organized! I was a little skeptical that we could get that many people through there is just a couple of hours, but they have this all figured out! The instructors really made the experience for our attendees, the group couldn't stop talking about how much fun they had during our meetings the next day. We were also able to cater dinner and have a bar set up through CRAVE. I would absolutely do this again! read more

Great experience in every way possible! We decided to give it a try while visiting our son and his family in MN, after a friend flew in FL for her 66th birthday. My son and I both called ahead to inquire about their experience with kiddos with ASD (one of his kids is on the spectrum); it was very clear from our conversations that they had a LOT of experience, and they gave us ideas to make it easier for my grandson. They suggested changing our reservation time to a less-busy slot (we did), and offered to have my son bring my grandson in ahead of time to meet the flight instructor and check out the sounds and lights (they didn't have time). When we got there for our adventure, every single staff member was welcoming, professional, knowledgable, and FUN! They were very patient with my grandson (age 8), and his younger sister. In fact, Max was so comfortable that he wanted to go first! When we finished our flights (4 each!), our instructor put on a fun little show for us. I would HIGHLY recommend this for anyone. It is pricy, but worth it, and return visitors can fly for less if they buy the package while they are there. My son bought a package, but my husband and I did not, only because the closest one to us is a 4-5 hour drive from home (we're hoping that changes soon!). DO IT! You won't be sorry! read more
