I've ordered online through Ideal Uniforms before, but after visiting the store in person, I can honestly say I prefer shopping inside. For one, the in-store sales aren't always promoted online, so you get better deals when you go in meaning prices are better in store, And two, the staff in the store are much more knowledgeable they know exactly what's in stock, what's coming in soon, and can help you find just what you need. They offer so much more than just uniforms they also carry book bags, undergarments for children, sweaters, shoes, full outfits you name it, they have it. The staff was excellent, super helpful, and we even shared a few laughs while we were there. All in all, it was a great experience. I definitely recommend visiting the store in person! read more

I was pleasantly surprised with the level of service I received from Ideal uniforms compared to the reviews I saw on yelp. Here's the key: ORDER WITH ENOUGH TIME. ONE MONTH BEFORE , WHEN EVERYONE ELSE IS ALSO ORDERING IS STILL NOT ENOUGH TIMMMMMEE. I placed an order for my daughter this MAY for when she starts in SEPTEMBER. I already knew she would need uniforms, I knew where to purchase, and so I planned ahead and ordered early. The uniforms were a size too small so I arranged an exchange. A lovely woman from the store called me to let me know one of the shirts was not available in my preferred sized and asked if I'd like to substitute it for an adult size or wait for a restock. We sorted everything out and within 3 days the uniforms were returned back to me via UPS ground. The entire process took me about 10 days. From original purchase, to receiving, to exchange, to final selection. Save yourself the headaches, and the bad reviews. Just order with enough time. read more

I placed an order in August. The items were delivered in January. By the time the delivery came, the items were too small. Also, the quality of at least one item was terrible. DON'T EVER ORDER from here. I literally odered two sets of clothes for my children. I provide the correct address for the dilivery. Unfortunately ,they have miswrote my address ! It tured out I had to pay for the delivery fee AGAIN for the second delivery. Apparently they messed up the address and expected the customer to pay for their MISTAKE! Dear Yelpers, do not even waste your time thinking that you will save time ordering online from these people, because you will get nothing but frustration in the end. And cost savings? No. All you will get is lousy service, crummy merchandise and a huge headache. Following is the e-mail I just sent them: On July 4, 2012 I placed an order online for curtains and rods for two rooms. I received a summary of the order and it was noted on that e-mail that it would ship in 1-2 weeks, which would have made an approximate shipping date - at the latest - July 18th. On July 13, I received 5 curtains for my living room, but no curtain rods, so I assumed (incorrectly) that the rest of the order was coming; however, without the rods, I could not hang the curtains which would have been nice. People who order curtains generally WANT TO HANG THEM, correct? Not to mention the fact that I had company over that weekend, so curtains hanging in the living room really would have been nice..... Just this week, on Monday August 6, a box arrived (finally!!). I looked at the UPS tracking and saw that it left Connecticut on August 3, which is not exactly what I would call 1-2 weeks shipping from my July 4 order date (it is 30 - yes - 30 - days!!!!), but figured it was here, so I should just be happy. Well, then I saw the blue curtains for my kitchen when I opened one package (see attached photo): I don't know who does the quality inspection of these (if anyone), but I can hold up curtains by the threads along the hem, there is a problem. And I am NOT hanging anything from you in my home. Seriously, being able to pick up curtains by THREADS after I have just spent more than $300?? Also, look at the photo of the box, which looks like it was thrown together by someone in your warehouse; it's not even taped on the side and packing peanuts were falling out of it on my porch. It's obvious that there is no quality control in your company, from the ordering department to the very products that leave the warehouse. I wish I had checked your reviews on Yelp.com before placing an order, because I am apparently not the only person who feels as though your service is lacking (and yes, I will be adding a review). I will be returning all of these items to you (obviously) and filing a dispute with my credit card company, but there is NO WAY I am paying to ship back merchandise that is defective and never should have left your warehouse in the first place. I should've done my research on this website before I ordered. I ordered curtains from them on 9/5/11 and they said it was delivered to my office on 9/8/11. We looked everywhere for the package and even searched the whole building - not here. When I emailed to let them know I never received the package, they made me wait for 8 business days for them to get a response from UPS on tracing the package. They then told me it was signed for and UPS would not mark it as a lost package and that I was basically out for couple hundred dollars I had spent with them. After I played the angry customer, they went back to UPS who finally marked as a missing package. I'm still waiting to get another set of what I ordered sent to me as they won't send it out until UPS give them the money. Worst customer service experience! My first order went well. But my second? Not so much. I ordered curtains July 2, funds were withdrawn from my account that day, today is July 19 and still I have no curtains. The information in "My Account" indicates they were shipped, but there is no tracking number. I have contacted customer service repeatedly by phone and by email (they ignore my emails). When I called yesterday (7/18/12), they said they had to contact "the warehouse," which they said they did. Today I called again. They acknowledged receipt of my unanswered emails and said they were waiting to "hear from the warehouse" which was closed for the day when I called. How long does it take to "hear from the warehouse?" What kind of "warehouse" is this, anyway? They don't care. They don't have to. They have my money so blaming "the warehouse" seems to be their answer to a problem like this. read more

I ordered curtains from this company. A few days later I received an email saying they would be shipped in 2-3 days. After 3 weeks I still had not received them. Only after I called them was I told they would be shipped within a few days. After receiving them I noticed the tie backs had no loops to fasten them to the window casing. They were only rectangular pieces of fabric with no method of attachment. I called the company and after listening to numerous messages about how they pride themselves on quality of their product, I was told that "the catalog does not list hardware on the tie backs". How absurd. I won't be buying from this company again. Instead of sending a truly quality product with the simple addition of loops on the tiebacks, I received an argument about the listing not saying hardware was on the tiebacks. I don't know where to start. Oh, I know. I should have read the reviews on this company before I placed an order. The money was withdrawn from my account but I have yet to hear anything from the company. When I finally called after 10 days they state "we have the curtains but not the valances, we'll contact the warehouse and the valance should be in, in a few days". I stated that if I do not hear anything in a few days then I would have to cancel the order. I was then asked if I wanted to cancel the order now and if so they were willing to cancel. Needless to say, I waited on the curtains that was sent priority express 2 day, I received my order 7 days later. So much for express! I love my curtains. But, I really dislike the way this company handles business. I really think that the warehouse is empty and they place their order from the supplier when the consumer places an order. read more

Horrible. First order was OK but very slow to ship. Next order, also very slow, items were poor quality, not a good deal even with discount. When I returned package for refund, they ignored it. I had to contact them numerous times to get a refund, which was incorrect. Customer pays return postage with insurance and tracking, and store takes a "restocking" fee above what is posted on website; the 10% fee is taken off full listed price, not whatever sale price you paid, and they still haven't refunded all of THAT, many months later, despite numerous e-mails. I checked Better Business Bureau and they have an F rating for many failures to refund, advertising practices, etc. I made a complaint myself. Also, I failed to check an "opt-out" box on my order form and am getting a "free subscription" to a magazine that is basically an advertising rag, despite many requests to the magazine to cancel it, and am getting more junk mail at both addresses I had orders sent to. I placed an order this Morning March 20, 2014 thinking it was Bed Bath and Beyond!!! When I realized it wasn't, I called their help No. 866-640-2400 to cancel the order, and got recordings trying to sell Medical tags, and well gosh knows what else, just one offer after another!!! I called them back and now getting a recording stating their call lines are down??? I'm very Suspicious now and wonder exactly I've gotten myself into! I contacted my bank, but can't do anything until it shows on my account! I read the reviews on the product I purchased, most being 4 stars. I will keep you all posted. The product I received was of such poor quality that I would not use it in my home. Three months later, I am still waiting for credit for my return. They do not even have the courtesy to answer e-mail and their call center has been "experiencing technical difficulties" for weeks.
