We professionally install resinous, epoxy floor systems, putting a high emphasis on prep work. We believe that putting extra effort (going the extra mile) into preparing your substrate for a high quality Dur-A-Flex resinous system results in a floor that will perform at a very high level. We firmly believe investing in higher quality materials, i.e.Dur-A-Flex, pays off in the long term, therefore investing more initially saves money down the road. We install garage floors, basement floors, and living space areas. We believe in honesty and integrity at every step of the process, delivering our best!
History
Established in 1975.
The company was started in 1975 as Miller Custom Flooring by Ervin Miller, initially selling Dur-A-Flex products. Under new ownership (Dean Yoder, Ervin Miller Jr.) in 2000, Miller Custom Flooring became Ideal Coatings, Inc. In 2004 Merle Miller merged his resinous flooring business into Ideal Coatings, Inc. and became part of ownership. In January 2017 long time employee Tim Weaver assumed ownership of the resinous flooring portion of the business (hardwood flooring was also part of the business, that continues as Hoosier Hardwoods today). Today the official company name is Ideal Coatings, LLC.

I learned how to install resinous systems when I started working for Dean and Ervin "Jr." (Ideal Coatings, Inc.) 15+ years ago. I initially appreciated the ability to transform, especially problems floors into something beautiful and functional. I've always been a stickler for doing things to the very best of your ability, which has helped me seek out the best solutions in this trade, which does have it's challenges. After years of installing I oversaw the resinous installations for a number of years before acquiring the resinous division in early 2017. Over the years coating technology has improved and we have grown and adapted our systems to reflect that. Dur-A-Flex (manufacturer) has been a great partner with similar vision and goals. I love finishing a job and knowing that we have done everything we can to leave the client with a high quality (material) and well installed floor!!
