They're food is more fresh than any of the 'chain' stores around and more affordable. This will be my new morning stop! And they sell trays of desserts for gatherings. The interior vibes are the same; open, spacious, and clean. However, the food and most importantly, the staff, no longer maintain the quality that made me a regular in the first place. Artisan used to have amazing coffee and excellent food, but the coffee is no longer very good. I think this is due to the staff. The food has significantly declined in quality. The hollandaise on their breakfast sandwich is now a broken, greasy mess. The "sourdough" is generic white bread. What's even worse than the food is the staff. In the last two years, the staff has degenerated to an incompetent , bedraggled mess. The staff has never had to wear a uniform, but perhaps it's time for them to institute one. In my last several visits, I've seen grossly oversized clothes that have the staff looking like they just rolled out of bed. Hair is unkempt, not brushed, loose, and hanging down past their shoulders. A recipe for getting hair in my food. Furthermore, the staff is no longer smiling or friendly and can't answer basic questions about the menu. They seem confused about where they are and the service they provide. On top of all this, they maintain their strict breakfast timeframe. Why they have decided to stick to antiquated time limits for the food that is always available in their kitchen is beyond me. The barest minimum of market research would show how popular breakfast sandwiches are all day. What once was a vibrant, friendly coffee shop with great food, good coffee, and pleasant employees now feels like a dressed up McDonalds.

The drinks were good, nothing out of this world but I was glad they offered additional cream, sugar, etc out in the open in case people decided they wanted to add anything to their drinks. They offer a wide range of drinks including some really interesting specialty drinks which all sound fun to try. Overall, Artisan Coffee is a cute, charming coffee shop that offers a wide variety of food and drink and I am sure you will find something you enjoy at this cafe. I also appreciate there is a rack with half priced day old breads. When you have really high quality bread you can still enjoy it a day later. Richard was extremely helpful and showed us where the garden department was located. Even the bags of dirt are displayed as beautifully as merchandise in a high-end store! After making our purchase, we decided to head over to the restaurant. We were warmly greeted and given our choice of a booth or table--we chose a booth. Our server, Josh, promptly offered beverages, and we enjoyed freshly brewed coffee while looking over the menu. I chose the BLT on a croissant with a side salad. The meal also came with fresh buns, available in either whole wheat or white. Josh told us that most people choose the white, which made me smile. The salad arrived almost immediately and included shredded lettuce, grated carrots, and two tomato slices with a side of blue cheese dressing. It was good, but the BLT--wow! It had more bacon than Miss Piggy could dream of. Unfortunately, there was no mayonnaise on it. I'm not sure whether it wasn't offered or if I simply overlooked it, but I added some to the half I brought home, and it was just as delicious later. I would highly recommend the BLT on a croissant. And if you have the opportunity, ask for Josh as your server. We were told we could request him, and honestly, I would go back just for his excellent service. Another fun aspect of the experience is the atmosphere. The place feels almost like a Las Vegas venue--huge, spotless, and designed to accommodate hundreds of guests.
