Great little area to shop and find unique treasures! The shops are most closed during the week but still fun to roam.

The staff and owners radiate friendliness, acceptance, and hospitality to all whom walk through the door. The shop is located on a side street in East Nashville, in what looks to be an old house. Therefore, parking is limited at times. I have come here 2-3 before, and they have a great selection of wide-stream music and local artists as well. The inside is filled with records and CD's filling shelves, bins, walls, and even the mantle of a fireplace. They also have a small stage and area to host events and live music inside. This year, We came here for Record Store Day 2024, and it was such a great event. We decided to come by around lunch time. They had vendors, food trucks, and live music set up around the shop. They were limiting the amount of people in the room with the RSD Titles; therefore, we waited in line for an hour to get into the store. That being said, this allowed for everyone to look through the bins leisurely. The staff and even the other customers were all so friendly! It was such a great experience, and we made so many memories this RSD! Support your local record store, and visit The Groove.

Out of…read morecourtesy, I asked the man at the counter (who I assume is the owner) to hold it so there'd be no confusion. I then asked about some earrings since I'm allergic to fake jewelry. He didn't know if they were real gold and had to look it up. No issue there - until I wrote down the brand name to research later (I'm from Vegas, so I can't just come back). Suddenly, he told me it was "rude" to do that in a small business. Completely unnecessary, especially since he'd already told me the brand. The whole exchange was embarrassing and left me feeling unwelcome. I decided not to buy the ring, returned it to its display, and left. Later, I found out he even asked my sister if I had "walked out with the ring." Accusing a customer of theft after they politely put something back is beyond insulting. Plenty of great small businesses in Nashville - this is not one of them.

I had only had the chance to visit one other time in person back in 2019 until recently. The owner is as lovely in person as she is online. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful with suggestions. The shop is arranged beautifully inside. She has great taste as can be seen with the items she has chosen to sell - from clothing to jewelry, hats, home goods, accessories and carefully curated vintage cowgirl boots. No matter what you're looking for or your budget, you will find something here. The neighborhood is a great area for shopping, eating and walking around. Don't miss this place! Or if you can't stop by in person check 'em out online.

Barely anyone in the…read moreplace, just me and a few other lunatics casually buying a terrifying amount of food like we're preparing for the collapse of civilization. Usually I send staff to grab stuff, but we were short on people and I had to go myself. Thank God I did. This trip changed me as a person. (Tho my Amex doesn't appreciate what happened) the freezer. This was not a freezer. This was a climate zone. I walked in and my ancestors started whispering. My soul left my body for a second. I swear I saw snow forming on my eyebrows. I was fully prepared to find a lost explorer or at least a polar bear in there. Fresh fish just staring at me like they know I'm not qualified to cook them. Cheese? Not normal amounts. Industrial. Illegal. I locked eyes with a 40 pound block of something European and felt it judging me. Then I added it to the cart out of spite(keep in mind my Nana is French ). They have everything. Cleaning supplies that could erase a crime scene. Bar supplies that could start one. Containers, lids, trays, things I don't even understand but suddenly NEED. At one point I was holding a random utensil like "yeah this will fix my life." There Pasta is in 20 pound boxes like I run a prison cafeteria. I found a 40 pound tub of tahini and almost dove into it like it was a sacred ritual. I would have come out reborn, Stronger, like a baptism. ( Jesus will be resurrected here? ) The staff are insanely helpful too. Certified forklift operators who also somehow know more about food than most chefs. One guy could probably palletize 800 pounds of chicken and explain the difference between six olive oils at the same time. Honestly, I will bring a first date here. Nothing says romance like aggressively buying 40 pounds of cheese while maintaining intense eye contact.

The shelves are a mess and left unstocked for weeks at a time. The staff...the rudest and coldest people. They aren't knowledgeable about where to find particular items. I wandered the aisles looking for something, asking 3 different employees where I could find it, and none were correct. I ended up finding it on my own. They couldn't care any less if you find what you are looking for. Completely disinterested in the customer. The General Manager of this location should be ashamed of this mess. We will never shop here again. I'd shop at Webstaurant if I run out of anything. Corporate should really look into the way this store is run.
