My experience with this college has been extremely disappointing. One of my biggest concerns is the…read moreway on-campus job opportunities are handled. From my experience, it feels like Black students are not given the same opportunities or consideration when it comes to certain positions on campus. It has been extremely discouraging, especially when students are trying to work to support themselves while attending school. On top of that, many things on campus are unnecessarily overpriced. Students are already paying high tuition, yet basic things can feel excessively expensive. I hope the school takes these concerns seriously.

Yes, the rumors are true! It's just as good now as it was 45 years ago! Hats off to all the great teachers for encouraging all the students from around the world (yes, I knew a young woman from Italy who attended classes back in 2005!). A big standing ovation to all the teachers keeping this great institution world class all these decades later! You are the greatest!

The online course offers hours of detailed video direction. The videos are high-quality and give great depth and detail into instruction. I am about halfway through the course and I absolutely love it. David the instructor is extremely detail oriented. If you are looking to develop your drawing skills, I highly recommend their Beginners Course in Drawing. One of the reasons I love this online corse it is because you can work at your own pace and you can go back and watch the videos as many times as you need to. David is extremely responsive. Anytime I have had a question or a concern he responds very quickly. I'm giving them 5 STARS! :)

Sam is a highly experienced and knowledgeable artist and teacher and has a very welcoming, friendly, relaxed, and fun approach to teaching. In our class, each person works on their own piece, using a variety of mediums, and her class becomes a community, where we converse comfortably while working on our art. There is no feeling of competitiveness, but of mutual support and encouragement. Sam provides suggestions and instruction on techniques to help guide us whenever needed, and the atmosphere in the class is very relaxed and friendly. I highly recommend her art classes for people of all ages.

There is an older woman with brown hair and glasses who works in the registration center who…read moreabsolutely needs to be fired. Every time I go to the registration center, I can overhear her angrily yelling or talking to students with a harsh attitude. The other day I was registering for a class and next to me she was 'helping' a student register for a class who was being completely polite, and clearly struggled with his English. For absolutely no reason she just starts yelling at him and talking to him in a way that I found absolutely disgusting. This young man came out of his way to come inside this school to seek your help THAT YOU GET PAID TO DO and she was speaking to him as if he knocked on her door at 3AM asking for help. I was so upset for him and I really wanted to give her a piece of my mind. I understand some people have to work but there is no excuse for you to go about your life every single day treating people so rudely, she needs to find a job that doesn't involve communication because clearly she doesn't know how to speak to others. I am truly going to report her to the administration the next time I am at the building.

I…read morewent here for both my freshman and sophomore year and even though I will no longer be attending I will say I learned a lot and I had great experiences with a lot of the faculty and staff here. As of now you can't even have a similar experience to what I and others had. Because of the school's poor conditions and horibble management most of those staff and faculty have left or are in the process of leaving. They are losing faculty that have been there for several decades because of how little they actually care for there faculty and students. The management and maintenance for this school is in shambles. I know of many students, including myself that have been screwed by the school because of its poor organization and communication. The other reviews complaining about the cockroaches are absolutely correct. The miniscule two floors that this school bairly takes up are filthy. The old man that runs the place is too cheep and greedy to pay for custodians clean. The bathrooms were not properly maintained and the ones on the second floor smelled like raw sewage. The floors everywhere were visibly dirty and the student stairwell smelled like urine and nothing was ever cleaned. If you suffer from mental illness or need to work and attend classes at the same time they do not care. They don't have the resources to help you if you are struggling and their classes are too demanding and make it impossible to balance work and school efficiently. It's a shame what this school has become and the worst part is the people that run this place don't care. I truly hope this place gets what it has coming and shuts down.
