His fixes were spot on and really strengthened my work. They weren't just cosmetic either, we did a lot of restructuring to support the root themes of the stories and make them better. I truly cannot imagine a better experience or a more encouraging teacher. A lot of other writing teachers I've had in the past get an idea in their head of how to fix a piece and try to steamroll you into executing it, but Alex was exactly the opposite! My vision was heard and supported at every step. Alex really took the time to understand me and my pieces, and they were better for it.
