I have to admit that I went to iDoc to get my phone repaired despite reading Sam B's review here first. It's hidden under that grey link that says "1 review that is not currently recommended". I recommend reading it, it's an entertaining review. I first considered getting my smashed iPhone 6 glass repaired at iDoc though due to the fact they had the cheapest repair price I could find in Melbourne, they use genuine parts and their Google reviews were very good too. The cheapest AND the best? Those two things rarely go together, so I was a little sceptical at this stage and decided to check out Yelp. Sam B's tale of woe suggested something may be up, but this only spurred me on; danger somewhat excites me. Would I too be faced with being ripped off by a screaming phone repairman who resorts to physical violence when questioned about the validity of the repair cost? So, like the busty blonde trope in a horror film who hears a bump in the night outside while a serial killer is on the lose and decides it would be a good idea to go outside and check out what that noise could have been, I booked an appointment to get my iPhone 6 repaired at iDoc's city location. What ensured was a thoroughly professional, if non-eventful exchange with a friendly guy who did an amazing job of repairing my shattered phone screen and charged me $5 less than their advertised price online. I was almost disappointed by how well everything went. My iPhone 6 is literally as good as new. Despite the comparatively cheap price I have absolutely no reason to doubt that iDoc uses genuine parts as claimed, and the repair job was so well done that there is absolutely no indication that it was ever broken to begin with. iDoc Wins! After using iDoc to repair my broken screen, they fixed it quickly with no initial issues. However, I woke up two days later with a screen that had cracked under pressure! When I asked them to fix it they did not believe me, but ended up giving me a 20 dollar discount to get the screen fixed AGAIN! This is now where all my issues have begun. My home button no longer works since the screen has been 'fixed', so I went in today to ask it was because of the screen change, before I could even finish my sentence I was given a "never in history has a screen repair caused a home button to stop working" this came to a shock to me as the home button is technically part of the screen and could possibly be damaged in the process. After pulling my phone apart he told me that he could replace the button but it would cost 40 dollars but I would no longer be able to use Touch ID or he could fix the Touch ID but not the button. This all seemed a little too suss and hard to believe so I turned down the offer. I then went to MyMac to get some advice on the experience that I just had and here is what they confirmed for me... 1. the home button is part of the screen 2. It is a constant issue that people go to third parties (Like iDoc) and have the home button damaged in the repair process of the screen. This is likely to the fact that they PRY the screen off with a flat head screwdriver. 3. MyMac will NOT repair any iphones that have been 'repaired' by a third party. 4. It costs over 200 dollars to have this fixed at Apple. so since my first experience with iDoc that cost me $80 and then a further $70 (i bought a screen protector from them as well), my home button work, my phone won't charge in my laptop and my battery does not work properly. Therefore the total cost of these NEW issues outweigh the cost of a new phone completely. I fully believe that these issues have occurred since my trip to iDoc and am completely disappointed with the service they provide or lack of. I am completely turned off the idea of ever going to a third party again especially this one!! Service is crap, they create more issues than they solve and then refuse to fix them/admit that it was there fault. DO NOT TRUST THEM. read more

SCAMMER SHOP ! THEY DONT USE APPLE VERIFYED RODUCTS. WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO YOU DEVICES!!!!! WARNING !!!!!! Replaced my iPhone 11 front and back screen before Covid with this HORRIBLE phone repairs shop . They informed me that they can do the job and that their products will work just need an Apple code (whatever that means). After a full day of my phone being in the shop- said it will take less than 5 hours but of course 8 hours later I went to go pick up my phone FINALLY. To my surprise the phone was still being glued together the glue wasn't even dry front and back screen with sliding off paid around $450 after his guaranteed me it will work. Now before I even got home the phone didn't even last five minutes without constantly turning off I called him back and he said all you need to do is turn it on and off again. Covid then hit and his shop was closed now months have past and trying to contact the owner my calls weren't being answered. So I did the next best thing and took it into Apple. Apple then explain to me that only Apple verified products can be used with iPhones as the iPhone reads it self every five minutes if it is not an apple verified product your phone will shut down automatically and that is what has been happening. Apple then changed the screens but now the actual phone itself is faulty due to the dodgy screens this store puts into the phones - with the guarantee it will work perfect. I called them up for a refund or to see what they can do and the guy literally laughed at me over the phone after not even hearing me out? Actually screaming over me repeating himself like a three-year-old toddler and told me it was an excuse/opinion! He then just hung up on me I would not recommend this place they are running a scam. They buy their products from China and sell it as good products knowing what they truly are! They are NOT Apple verified and will damage your Apple phones ! now I have to trade my phone into Apple and pay another $500 on top of the $500 extra I had been charged by Apple to correct this phone shops mistake I basically paid $450 to this shop to break my phone!! read more

Outstanding integrity and service. This level of integrity is such a breath of fresh air in the repair market and this will now be the only place I recommend for phone repairs from now on. Went in for a camera repair for my pixel phone and druing repair an unrelated part was broken. The shop admitted to this mistake and performed the repair of this part for free with warranty! The whole experience was quick and easy. Highly recommended! Everyone makes mistakes, but how that mistake was handled has absolutely gained my trust. read more

This place has got me very annoyed. I could of picked other phone repair stores in the area but chose this one because of its 3 good reviews but I did not have the same experience as them and I am furious. My son had dropped my phone a day before I was going overseas and he cracked my screen and also made the camera stop working. They charged me $190 for the repairs and when I was about to walk out the door I tested the camera and it was NOT WORKING!!!!! They were basically prepared to let me walk out with a faulty phone. When I asked why it wasn't fixed they fumbled around with an answer saying that they didn't have parts. Bull crap! Your a phone repair place, WHY would you NOT have parts? Any way, now I am going overseas to LA with no camera to take pictures of my son and my trip! FURIOUS!!!!!!! !!!!!!!! I wish I went some where else. Or known before I had my service with them but the greedy guys got my money. I hope they did not damage my phone further inside. read more

Few days ago, my phone screen was cracked and my Mac was broken. I did some research and found amazing reviews and hence, I went there yesterday to fix the problems. Jason is amazing. He fixed my phone battery and screen within 40 mins. Then, I left my MAC as it will take sometimes to diagnose the issue. He is really honest with my Mac and recommend not to fix it as it is not worth repairing. Overall, I am very happy with the customer services and definitely recommend this place read more

Do not use these sharks. They are dishonest. They "repaired" an iPhone X, putting on a cheap Chinese screen which within one day caused an "green line of death" OLCD issue (charging $250). When returned the man in the shop agreed the phone had suffered no damage and the fault was theirs. After he contacted the "owner" (not in shop) he refused to fix/repair. After a negative review was left on Google, within minutes it was countered with positive reviews from people who have never reviewed before. If you scroll through the old negative reviews its all the same - poor workmanship, a "warranty" that is completely worthless and every negative review countered with positive "new reviewers" within hours. They also bribe customers to give 5 star reviews in exchange for a free screen protector. These guys are dodgy. A full report has been filed with ACCC and their advice the Office of Fair Trading. Don't be fooled by their good reviews. At best incompetent fraudsters, at worst Criminals. Oh, and the "owner" will reply to every negative review saying that it was your fault, not theirs and in seeking recompense for their dodgy work you are somehow being unreasonable. Nice. read more

Would give a 0 if I could. Give your money to someone else. Ipad was handed back in a worse condition than I gave it to them. I took my iPad to replace a cracked screen. The screen they replaced it with had very poor resolution and had grid lines all over it. I expressed I wasn't happy and they said that they can re-install my old cracked screen and provide a refund, so I was fine with that. What they failed to mention was that there would now be a large chunk missing from the screen and that the internal case would be visible. Upon expressing my upsetness and dissatisfaction with this, they insisted that I either give it to them and wait for a week while they try and source a better quality part or I take it like this. Further, the staff member did not care that I was very upset and kept saying that "it's not his business". I spoke with the manger on the phone and he did not care either and insisted that there is nothing he can do without me paying money. Both asked why should I care when I'm going to take it to apple later anyway. It was a joke!! I wasted 2 days and ended up with a product that was in a worse condition than what I gave them. I would have been much better off not walking foot in that store. Do yourself a favour and just go somewhere else. You may be fine, but why take the risk and give your money to people who absolutely do not care about the customer. read more

I took my iphone 7 that is less than 10 months old in to have the cracked screen repaired. That was the only issue with the phone. From that day, I can no longer make and take any phone calls - the microphone doesn't work. Headphones no longer work. I took my phone back and waited for 2 hours, being told it would be 10 more minutes, 10 more minutes, etc. and my phone still does not work. I was told to go home, back my phone up and hope for the best. I can no longer use my phone. No offer of reimbursement or any option to help any further. I will never return and strongly advise others not to go here. read more
