These guys are top notch in every way. Pricing, service and trouble shooting these guys are simply awesome. We had an issue where a previously and incorrectly installed flooring (not by Atex), caused a headache to install the carpet to laminate nosing. Mike had his crew cut back the laminate to make the nosing work! It was a skillful job not to chip up the floor and cause cracks but man they did great! I came across Codona Flooring while searching for floor suppliers and decided to give it a try. I…read moredid not know I needed an appointment but once I got inside Milos said it was fine and allowed me to look around. He also gave some advice which I appreciated. I took pictures of the two floors and said I'll let them know. From this point on for some reason, I can no longer reach Milos but only Oliver, which to be honest I didn't care so much so long as we could get the work done. At first it was alright, we had a few text exchanges and decided to move on with ordering some flooring from them and asking them to do the installation. Then it went downhill from there as Oliver was not very responsive to my messages and took him a while to give me the WSIB and Liability Insurance. Anyhow we managed to get through. Then came the day(s) of installation. Oliver first told me he would bring 3~4 guys and finish the job in a day, but he showed up later (late too) with only one more guy and the job did not finish in that day. Then about one or two weeks later he finally was able to come and finish the job. Overall it was good and I appreciated his and his coworkers' hardwork, but the smaller details were certainly lacking. As seen in the uploaded photos the little gaps between the floor planks and between the floor and window frame Oliver never came and fixed; there was also a few other places that the baseboards were missing. The job was "done" in about March, now it is almost June. It was a misfortune that throughout April I caught COVID, and Oliver ( and his girlfriend) was not feeling well. I've got to be honest here and say that it felt as if Oliver did not want to come anymore, that he was making up excuses, because I was always the one making calls and asking him to schedule, only once did he call me and told me his availability on certain days. Finally we decided on a date but he said he did not bring his material so he will not show up. To me that is just unprofessional that you just don't show up, I'd rather you show up late because at that point I've pretty much expected him to show up late anyway. Then later we booked for another date and he just never showed up at all. Very unprofessional and unresponsive. Another confession though, I certainly should not have paid the full amount, knowing that there were problems he needed to fix. But aside from this issue it conveys to me the unprofessionalism and lack of workmanship / responsibility in Oliver. Codona Flooring may or may not be a good floor installer and supplier based on Google Reviews (4.9 Stars, wow, I wish I had that kind of service), but I could certainly say that Oliver did not match up to this 5 star standard. Oliver, if you are reading this, I want to let you know that you win, that you've successfully tired me out and I no longer wish to deal with you and your delays. To gents and ladies if you were to use Codona Flooring, from my POV I suggest finding Milos or somebody else in Codona Flooring (to avoid Oliver), or find a different contractor. The floor collection was nice, but not the service. Edit: Got a call from Oliver on Saturday May 22nd who told me he could come by that day. Came on Sunday instead due to the thunderstorm and power outage. and he fixed the floor and covered the gaps for me. Thank you for coming by and finishing up the job.

They sold us really cheap flooring that had a lot of issues with it. Prior to purchasing my wife…read moreasked if it was good quality as the area it will be installed will be a high traffic area and the sales person (Colin) assured her it was good quality material. Their customer service is also horrible. They say they will call back and never do. Happened so many times that I lost count. After paying them a delivery fee to get it delivered, my installer started installing it in the first room, he immediately called me and said the pieces were not clicking correctly and were popping out. He explained over time that the flooring will start to separate if not clicked properly and will look really bad. I immediately contacted square foot flooring and sent them a video of the installation showing the issue. They vehemently denied there were any issues and blamed our installer. After getting tired of waiting for them to call back, we drove 45 mins and met with them and they gave us (bs) explanations. We gave them the benefit of the doubt, and had our installer go there in person the next day and "learn" from the owner. Our installer tried installing the material after and had problems again. We delayed our project by a week and hired a more experienced flooring installer who had done some work for us previously, with 10+ years of experience, and he immediately told us that the flooring was no good and that it was not clicking correctly and was popping out. I asked him to record a video and sent it to square foot flooring and they again blamed it on the installer and said the installer didn't know what he was doing. They mentioned this material is hard to work with and other people have had problems with it and returned it. When we asked for a refund of the material they tried to charge us a 25% restocking fee - WTF? You guys admitted that people have had a problem with it. We're installing Vinyl here, it's not rocket science LOL. I even said I would buy other material from them if they could cancel the restocking fee and these guys tried to give me a higher price than other stores to make up for the restocking fee. Evan the owner is also a piece of work. They agreed to bring down the restocking fee to 18% after a lot of arguing, and then on the day we brought back the material he tried to jack up the restocking fee rate in front of us to get a reaction out of me. My wife and I also had to rent a home Depot van and load 1600sqft of material myself and unload it onto their dock. I purchased from Hardwood Design Centre in Brampton and the material was worlds apart and the customer service was excellent. They even let us return unused boxes for a full refund without any restocking fees. All in all, our project was delayed over a month and ended up returning all the material and on top of that paying a restocking fee. My advice is stay clear of these guys. When things go bad they will not have your back. They are not a reputable business and selling sub par material for overpriced rates. They'll never admit they are wrong. Own up to things and you will have my loyalty for life. They don't care about the customer and once they have your money good luck getting any help from them.
