Verdict: Choose another ramen joint.
Was here on a uni holiday Wednesday at 8:20pm (it closes at 9pm, like most places on the coast) - there was no one here. For comparison, the Grill House and Kubo's Bar & Grill had multiple tables, and at least 10 ppl in the shop.
Ordered the black garlic ramen (usually $12), enquired about extra noodles (called "kaedama") - $3 here. I was taken aback - places with the nerve to charge for kaedama charge less (Ramen Danbo $1, Muso $2), and most places offer it for free (Hakataya chains and Ramen Champion offer 1x, Gentotsu offers UNLIMITED) (on further research, $3 is on par with JFX Nexus). Apparently there's a large bowl option (+$2), so I chose that.
The noodle and soup itself was fine, but there was only one slice of pork to boot even for the size upgrade (and the $6 sliced pork side option is also the most expensive of ramen joints).
I can see ppl visiting this place if they needed a ramen fix, and this was the only place within walking distance - but JFX is 3min walk away, and they offer free miso soup. No wonder this place was empty.
