When I politely asked why the promised call did not happen, Telahna responded defensively and shifted the responsibility onto me for not checking my email frequently enough. What concerned me most was that instead of focusing on resolving the issue efficiently, the interaction turned into an argument about who was at fault. This made the process longer and felt unproductive. In a professional setting, I believe it's more important to focus on solutions and clear communication rather than defending missteps. I hope future customer interactions are handled in a more solution-oriented and professional manner.

The head of the school is a Nurse Ratchett and doesn't like to be challenged but should be and often. If you can teach yourself this is the place because of the pace. The school itself sucks and I can't even imagine trying to pass with English as a second language- but the courses are the fastest and cheapest (especially if sponsored) way to go in Portland. Don't piss anyone off - they will retaliate. I even watched the director get served papers from a distraught former student (and laugh).

When friends of mine gifted me a private tea ceremony with Po (aka: Paul), I had pictured in my…read moremind a stiff, solemn, humorless evening with limited eye contact & conversation, all while drinking hot "tastes-like-dirt" water. Imagine my delight when, upon walking into Po's tea sanctuary, we were greeted with a warm smile & a gracious, hand-to-his-heart welcome. The atmosphere & decor is sacred, serene, picturesque -- like something out of a sweet, blissful dream. Yet it manages to give off a low-key, "come as you are & relax" kind of vibe. When you see Po sitting behind his low table, you'll think him otherworldly. And he is, truly. But this image doesn't not make up the whole of him. He is also lighthearted, humorous, down-to-earth. The Tea Master title is not so embedded within him that he is void of a personable demeanor. Po is naturally humble & a joy to be around. But he is definitely, absolutely a Tea Master. Po just doesn't collect & serve tea, he practically makes love to it. This is made apparent by the way he prepares & pours the warm liquid into centuries' old tiny cups. It's done with such love & respect. We ourselves were served such a sweet (& potent) array of strong, delicate, earthy, heavenly teas. They each gave us an abundance of feelings that buzzed endlessly within our bodies: giggly, intuitive, reflective, arousing, calming. We all got a little drunk, but not in the unforgiving way alcohol thrusts onto us. It was more of a. . . loving, tingly, spiritually-centered kind of drunk, what you perhaps might feel after spending an evening amongst good friends in a warm, safe space. Being introduced to Po & to his holy, heavenly teas has been the absolute highlight of my year. I have already booked another ceremony with him as an anniversary present to my husband. I cannot wait to be in the divinity of his presence again.

The space he sets up is intimate, but super relaxed, and creates just the right atmosphere for everyone to have a very personal, profound and joyful experience engaging with the teas and with one another. Get in touch with Po if you love tea. Get in touch with him if you want to take your special someone out for a memorable date. Get in touch with him if you're stuck in an emotional/creative/mental rut and he'll find some teas that will help you out. This is MUST for anyone stopping into Portland for a visit!
