Luckily, I was able to resist and got what I really wanted/needed. I'd be in trouble living nearby because I would probably come daily just to refill my Cadbury stash! The store is well lit and laid out in such a way that you should be able to find what you ate looking for. They have signs above each aisles lie most grocery stores do. I like that the employees are friendly and helpful. You can check out at the self-check out lanes, or have an employee ring you up. It was a great shopping experience here at this bigger ASDA. Iceland mainly sell frozen foods and a very big range to, they do offer a small range of groceries and chilled food. They offer a home delivery if you spend 25 or more which is great if you want to shop a little more and don't want to be carrying everything around, if you do home delivery you get to choose a time slot that suits you they usually advertise these times on a board on the way into store.

They stock a surprising (to me, anyway) variety of things as well as all the obvious frozen foods and, if you telephone them, will just deliver it to your home without any fuss. Parents of students should also be aware they will deliver to your son or daughter from the nearest store to them even if you order and pay (damn them!) I've also found that the 'phone staff are extremely helpful if you ask about special offers and will advise on any savings you could make.

I like how their handheld scanners are easy to use, to scan as you shop around the store, they seem to be much newer than other Waitrose stores, making them easier to use - It would be a great idea if they fixed their app in order to support scanning on mobile phones, similar to what is on offer at ASDA and Sainsbury's. The staff in-store seemed friendly and happy to help, the product range is good, they had a wide selection of products in most areas, including a great saving on certain items including Pizza Express' gluten-free pizzas which were on offer at £2.50, considering the price is normally £4.50 at Sainsbury's and £5 on Ocado, this is a great saving. 4* - Good, modern supermarket with a decent selection of products, one of the better supermarkets in Altrincham, it is a shame it isn't closer to the town centre and the bus network isn't too reliable, I do also think the checkout areas could have been better laid out, but all in all a good store.

This Aldi is of an average size - a bit smaller than the one on Market Street and a bit larger than the one at Trafford Bar. Stock levels are usually pretty good, except for the 'Aldi super 6'. For anyone that is not familiar with shopping at Aldi these are fruit and veg offers which change every month, e.g. this month there are plums for 49p and onions for 39p. Stocks of these items are often depleted. The past two times I've been here I've been unable to find any courgettes either, but at least there's Freshsave just down the road. Like any other Aldi, the baked beans taste a bit funny, the service is super-efficient and you can buy ski jackets and memory sticks. We picked up a big crossword book as a present for Granny for just £1.49 yesterday. Brill.
