Whether you are looking for breakfast (serving sausage and bacon baps on the day we were there), groceries (large selection of local meats and vegetables), local cider / beer / spirits or even gifts, this is the place for you. Everyone was very friendly and the quality of the meat and produce was very high... the cider was pretty damn good too. A necessary bookmark for anyone going to the Jurassic Coast. Also, they also sell flowers, plants and children's wetsuits (of course)!

It does get busy, understandably, but it's always worth a trip anyway. The car park is large so there is usually somewhere to park the car. There's an instore cafe which serves drinks, snacks and cheap meals. There are always plenty of bargains to be had instore. The stock levels seem good and the staff are friendly and helpful.

However as this place is so huge you'll probably still find what you are looking for. Since I've lived in Oxford I've come here about a dozen or so times. We tend to try and stick to mid evening as the crowds die down a bit and they are not quite into their horrible restocking mode. Generally you can find fresh products and a wide selection of near everything (do not come to this Tescos if you are looking for home goods/ electronics/ etc). The prices as it is Tescos are decent. The staff are generally friendly as long as you're not getting the end of shift crowd. PROS: Large selection Good quantity of stock Price CONS: Gets ultra busy Leftover stock can be of bad quality Other side of the ring road.

It's got a huge range of items, although no adult clothing (other than underwear) or much in the way of electronics/media/toys, unlike even bigger stores. For groceries, though, it's got a lot to offer. Fruit and veg are of good quality and usually well-stocked. The deli and fresh fish counters offer a lot of choice, and they even have a large 'Polish food' section. They have two 'car trolleys' which amuse small (and big) kids greatly, and make the shopping trip easier with children who are too big for the trolley seats but too small to walk all the way around without whining. Staff are friendly and helpful, and offers on food are good value.

He really was a saviour to me. I was so amazed that so many kind people came to my aid and offered help. with all the bad things happening in this world today, all the people who stopped were just kind and wonderfu, I'm glad I live in this great country.

Personally, I'm a much bigger fan of the latter option, and here's why: 1. Because it's so high trafficked, this store is pretty dirty 2. The shelves always seem like they need to be stocked 3. It's a bizarre layout because it's such a small space 4. The queue here - as others have mentioned - is frustrating and confusing; who's actually in line?! It's hard to tell when it snakes down into the aisles Really, you'll find similar things at both places, so it's really just a matter of preference!

It's not exactly the first place you'd look for a Primark, a Lidl or a Wilkinsons (sadly, as I absolutely love a good Primark). But what should the less wealthy of us need a supermarket which isn't as elusive as Marks and Spencer and not as pricey as Waitrose? Sainsbury's local on Marmouth Street is a tiny supermarket which is an ideal one-stop shop for your basic essentials. The range of items on sale here is pretty limited, but when you're looking for reasonably priced goods like tea, coffee, bread and milk - this is the first place I head. And, because it's a Sainsbury's LOCAL the service is quick so there's no frustrating queues in sight.
