The outside doesn't seem like it is an eatery. It has the industrial look of the original building. Surprisingly nice inside, clean, love seeing the big vats for brewing beer. Every time I've been here I've had great beers and super quick service. They have tons of options no matter what type of beer you prefer. On this trip I got a flight of three IPAs and a seltzer and then ordered a 20oz size of my favorite IPA from the flight. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the beer. I DO NOT BLAME THE STAFF AT ALL! They seem severely understaffed and overworked and I honestly felt bad. If they are going to allow events such as trivia and bingo, management needs to plan accordingly and have more people scheduled. Other than that, the food was ok; beer was good. I stopped by this brewery after trying a different brewery earlier. I sat at the counter and ordered a flight of four very good beers: the Hefeweizen, Golden Ale, Raspberry Wheat and Milk Stout All were flavorful and well-balanced. I would have stayed longer but then realized I had left my credit card at the previous establishment. My beer tender was courteous enough to call that business and ask about that credit card for me! Kudos to him! Luckily I had enough cash to pay the bill and tip. The service and beer were topnotch. The place is spacious with an outside patio facing the north. I will be back! read more

I have no idea how this place could get 4 or more stars. I started off with a beer. And it went south from there. It took over 1/2 hour to get the food, even though there weren't a lot of customers in the place and the food menu is very limited. The tater tots were cold (they'd been sitting in the kitchen a while). They messed up one burger (apparently the cook puts cheese on everything even if the customers ask for no cheese). And they brought the wrong side. At least they had the decency to comp that burger. With food service that bad, the beer had better be worth it - the one I tried was good but not great. And to cap it off, they completely forgot the second beer I ordered. Needless to say, I'd never go back. read more

And they didn't even do anything about it. I worked here for a year and 3 months never got a write up never was late and they but in the fire me the very next time I get late. If one person calls in there it leaves one person to run the whole thing by themselves then you have Andy right there down talking to you the whole time while you're trying to catch up saying I have to Comp this I have to comp this. Even though you're trying to train the new guy who doesn't know anything you have the dick who Andy in your face saying negative shit the whole time. So I fucking left. The kitchen turnover rate is literally like one person every month we have a graveyard on the menu and it says rip like 10 people's names only rookies go here to work. read more

Good beer, nice facilities, very, very bad at math. I like Icebox, and I live close to the Picacho brewery. I had a nice time there last night, so when the bill came and they put a machine with the total in front of my face, I accepted their math, added a 20% tip, and signed. When my wife returned from the restroom and inquired about the total, she said it seemed too high. I said surely they got it right, and we left. This morning when I looked that the charges, I decided to double-check the math. And sure enough, Icebox charged me for six pints, when we only drank five. It was not that obvious when I signed because we also ate $20 in food and shared a $7 flight. The bill was around $62 with tax when it should have been around $57. Not a big deal, but irritating nonetheless. Businesses need to charge their customers the correct amount. Overcharging customers is very bad business. If I ever return to Icebox, I will pay very close attention to the bill, and I recommend that everyone does the same. read more

So, in the name of a some home smoked "Q", IceBox Brewing Company is where I found myself. In the not so distant past (like 2 months ago), IceBox's North Tap Room received a 1 star from me. Service, atmosphere, food variety - all lame. How can the Mother Company gets a deservedly GREAT review when an ugly stepchild is judged so poorly? Well, before I was able to find walk thru the door, find my table, wash my hands and place my initial order, I was greeted and welcomed 4 times. Not even superficially, each different member of the staff seemed earnest. They were happy to see my wife and I. Loved the Hopsicle, Hazy IPA! Great attentive service! Good BBQ although not their own but hey, IceBox invited this BBQ joint to be there and I was happy about that. We had a really good experience and I look forward to going to IceBox Brewing Company again. Soon. We came here on a Thursday evening after work to get some beers. The service is great! No problem there. All of us in the party got their beer flights and we must have tried about 10 brews between us. We all got the IPA and I particular liked the Scotsman Ale. I also got the black ice lager and a citrus lighter type beer. None of the beers were outstanding but they were not too bad either. This was the third brewery on our list (we started with Bosque on night one and Spotted Dog on night 2). They do have a food truck that caters to a nice bar style NM influenced menu for vegetarians as well. All in all, the brewery has potential. Dog friendly on the patio too; the hours are weird but it's nice to bring some friends from school or work and just chill for an evening. I had a flight of four beers. There was a red beer that I fell in love with that originated in New Mexico, but some of the dark IPA's are a little too much for me. It depends on ones preference, but the list of drinks was pretty top notch. One complaint I have is that one of the pilsners tasted too "Coors lighty" if that sounds right. A little more kick in the taste would've worked, but good selections all around. The lemon pepper wings are great! I also got the BBQ ones, and they sure are messy! The sauce on the wings tasted something like a family recipe from an old fashioned kitchen. But I think I'll keep coming back for the lemon pepper wings. They also have burgers and other snacks you can find in any sports bars. Parking is spacious up front, and I recommend sitting outside if it's a nice evening, especially to watch the sunset. read more

The employees are extremely welcoming and friendly. They went out of their way for recommendations and were quick to check on us and make sure the food was good. The ribs were a little too spicy. We usually went to the old location or the airport location and love the ribs but here they were too much. Oh well you still can't beat the atmosphere and employees being awesome. read more

Everyone has a preference and one may be THAT beer for you. Service: 5 Seems unless you are a regular or sitting with a big group they don't see you as a priority. I am new to Las Cruces and keep growlers of beer at the house at all times. This place is close and I would be here every 2 or 3 days to fill my growler - if they had treated me more like I might be coming back than they did. We sat at the bar. I told them I wanted to taste to buy a growler and still it was as though they had somewhere else to be. Like out with the larger groups hoping someone would forget their tab and they'd get a big tip. I got a growler. But I won't refill it as often as Spotted Dog or High Desert. Those places make an effort to be nice even if you just pop in to fill your growler. Parking: 2 They have room inside for a LOT of people and a nice shaded patio. But they had room for about 20 cars. Good luck on a busy Saturday afternoon. The bar inside is a large horseshoe. Again, they have a nice covered deck out front where smokers go. They only have a food truck for munchies. Tables inside for a windy or rainy day and lots of TVs. This is a big, industrial looking brewery. Lots of aluminum and stainless steel. It lacks the charm and local feel of some of the other breweries around Las Cruces. And frankly, it lacks the friendliness from the staff I have felt at other places. read more

We only get to Las Cruces once a year. For the past couple of years we have sampled breweries trying to find the right one. Tonight we found it. The beer is tasty and the selection is good. The service is good and the clientele is friendly. The food truck (Ruby Soho) is wonderful. We had two 4 beer flights then selected a Gose and an IPA (available in 12, 16, or 20 oz sizes). Also tried their michelada, which was tasty with just the right amount of bite. The food truck, which is permanent, offers a limited but good menu with an added special. We had wings (big ones!) and a chorizo burger. The chorizo is made by the cook as is the cookie ice cream sandwich. The fries are hand cut. We'll be back next time we are in town. read more

Went in yesterday to have a couple of beers. Initial thoughts were it's nice. My girlfriend asked for a couple of beer samples. I asked for a beer and a sample of a different beer I was curious about. We got them at the same time. I really liked the sample that I was curious about and was going to ask for a regular size of that for my next round. My girlfriend had also decided which out of the two she wanted. The server came over and took my girlfriend's order. Then we waited and waited. Finally the server passed by us again and looked at her palm register and seemed to leave to retrieve my girlfriend's beer. She didn't.
