GPS directions weren't helpful. This place is set back from the road, almost tucked behind a convenience store. After spending too much time finding the small sign, the place was gated and locked up. We checked Yelp and the brewery website and both listed open hours. Went into the convenience store and they acted like they didn't even know the place existed, let alone the hours. June 2, 2023 - Picacho Peak Brewery (Las Cruces, NM) This brewery is tucked away from the main road, W. Picacho Ave. There is a sign on the north side of the road down low and it's easy to miss. Once you see the sign, you still need to work your way back along a wide swath of dirt and past a chain link fence to the brewery parking lot. Once there, I still wasn't sure I was in the right place, but the vehicles out front were an indication. Even the entry to the brewery wasn't that revealing, but of course the logo on the right side of the building finally gave it away. Once inside, we made our way to the bar. Our server's name was Dahlia, and she was very attentive and got us started. She gave us some menus and some sheets to write down the beers we wanted for our beer flight. I got four of their IPAs and my wife got a sampler of their Porter. All of the IPAs were delicious and the Porter was great as well - Low alcohol, 5.7% ABV. We ordered some chips with salsa and queso. The queso had a little heat going on, which I liked. Ambience of the brewery and bar is rustic at best. There was what appeared to be a large 200 person capacity banquet room off to the side, but I didn't check it out. Maybe next time we'll have a look when we roll through. read more

If you are an IPA drinker, go here. I'd say more than half their beers were IPAs. They did have 10 or so beers available and the pours in the flights were a decent size. I do notice most Las Cruces breweries give decent pours in their flights. I asked about growlers. the barkeep pointed at the three collecting dust on a shelf near the ceiling. he said those were what they had left and no one could reach them..ok. One less growler for me, I guess. It looks like they also have cocktails as there were bottles of liquor from Dry Point Distillery. And I saw local wine on the drink board as well. That's a nice touch. I have several friends who don't do beer and now I have a brewery they can share with me! They did not offer me a food menu. I did not see any of the patrons eating. So I can't speak on the food...or if they are even still serving food. There was a food truck out in the parking lot though. I'll go back but it's not my 1st choice in breweries in LC. Unless they have food and it's as good as the reviews here say it is. Then it might become one of my top 3. read more

Came here last night with my mom and we both loved everything about the place. The ambiance, beer, service, and food were all incredible. My mom and I both ordered flights. My favorite beer in the flight was the Hefeweizen but enjoyed all of them. They had a few deals for Tuesday so we took advantage and ordered the beef flautas which were flavorful and came out quickly. All of the bartenders were extremely friendly and attentive especially Abbey! Although we did not eat outside on the patio, it was beautiful especially during the sunset as you have views of the mountain ranges. Oh and they had wonderful live music that wasn't too loud. My wife and I went to the Picacho Peak Brewery today for lunch. We had not been there before because we thought that were still only open for dining in the evening. The website is correct, but I called ahead to make sure that they were serving their menu at lunch. My wife had the veggie spaghetti and I had the clam and mollusk marinara. Both meals were delicious. My spaghetti had 7 mollusks (in shells) and 6 clams (in shells), plenty of sauce and delicious garlic bread. Service was great. We will return. read more

Beer is great! I'm not a fan of micro brews but this beer is good! They have a lot of beer mash ups as well. (Very small wine menu for those of us who don't care for micro brews). We ordered the SW burger. The fries were awesome! The burger itself was over cooked! It was covered in cheese and green chile which allowed me to eat the burger. (They should ask how you want it cooked as they serve it very well done!) hubby said the bun was good..I don't eat my burger with a bun, so I'll take his word for it! read more

After a long drive from the north down to Las Cruces we looked for a local brewery to try. So glad this was the one we decided on. Located just outside the busier part of town is this awesome location. It's beer garden is amazing and has a stage that I can only amaze would be awesome to catch a show on. We are warmly greeted by the bartender (David) when we arrived who promptly served us. The beer was cold and delicious. We got an ipa and a hefe. (Also to note two brewers sat at the end of the bar and conversed with us for a bit. Both were super friendly and funny.) Let's talk food now- came out promptly and was well priced for portions and quality. We had a cheese burger and I had a salad with grilled chicken breast. Salad was quality greens, delicious moist chicken, and a great burger (fries were excellent as well). We got some gear as well just because this experience was totally a highlight of our trip (we only wish we had a place like this near us because it was an excellent experience) Also have to note David was awesome in telling us some local places to visit with details of how to get there. His time and suggestions were immensely appreciated and we went to one of the places after our lunch. Overall an awesome brewery with great service, good food, and an excellent venue. read more

It's not about the food quality or brews, or prices, those were fine but The bar tender would be chatting up a table next to the bar while we would stand there waiting for our glasses too be refilled. Our food took an hour to come out even though the was only 1 other party in the place. The food was decent once we finally got it but it took way way too long. Better service would get at least a 4 star review. You can't review good for and drink unless access to food and drink is faster. read more

A TOTAL embarrassment to the Las Cruces dining community. Asked for an ice water while waiting for drinks. Was told no ice, go get your water at the cooler. Waited a considerable time for drinks to come out. Ordered dinners, food came out in stages over thirty minutes.. it was COLD and the same entree was inconsistently made. Food was edible but not of even average restaurant quality. Repeatedly tried to flag down waitress for another drink, but she couldn't be bothered. When we finally got second round of wine, the waitress said, "Oh, we ran out of what you were drinking so you I brought you this instead." Never mentioned it was $2 more a glass and none of us cared for it. Had to go to bar to get checks and return three times because waitress couldn't do simple math and make correct change. Instead, she argued and told me to go get my change from someone else she gave it to accidentally. Recommend you save your money and patience and go ANYWHERE else. Great beer but if you sit on the patio(if you want to call it that) you have to go inside for your beer. The "patio" is not a patio, its dirt with a patio. I'd put patio pavers or something for a patio. Dead grass was everywhere. Not a pleasant experience, especially with our dog. Will not be coming back anytime soon. read more

I did not have any inside information and we had moms night out there and we all enjoyed! Jalapeno poppers were so good and my green chile cheese burger was impressive!! Second time going with Zane as our server, great service, good food, nice atmosphere.

We did not really enjoy the wine in this region, so decided to switch up to beer. We saw an interesting advertisement for the Picacho Peak Brewery and decided to give it a try. So glad we did! The bartender, Zane, welcomed us with tastings of some outstanding home brews! One brew was better than the other and it was tough to decide which we liked better, but I chose the Dirty Blond and my husband chose Green Chili Ale. He liked it so much that he took with us a Growler of it! They also had a really delicious looking menu, we had nachos and they were so good!!! Zane was personable and we had some fun conversation. He recommended we go to the Pecan Grill and Brewery for dinner, which we did, and it too was excellent! Thanks Zane for saving the day! We so enjoyed your Brewery. I do want to mention, we loved what the management has done with the space, it's cozy, yet has an amazing outdoor area. We would have loved to had been there for an event. read more

The beer was good. Service was horrible and the food was a joke... it took over 15 minutes to take a drink order and then we finally got a drink at the 30 minute mark. Nachos were basically lettuce and cheese and salsa had no flavor... then to top it off kitchen closed at 8:30... which our server wasn't even aware of.
