The facility itself is set up so nicely. The therapy areas are so inviting! It truly looks welcoming to enter. While we only work with Terri, we have had sessions where we are in common areas with other therapists and clients and I have always thought they all do such great jobs. I know therapists jobs are not easy and yet these ladies always have a smile on their face and an upbeat attitude to reassure even the most worried parent that they can get through things! That is not always easy when a toddler is crying and not wanting to cooperate. While receiving "services" for my children at the facility my wife and I who are both privately insured were billed as if we had not met our deductible for the year, in which we had. They only charged my insurance and billed us for the rest while not communicating so, all the while receiving the bare minimum of rendered services. We decided to seek a more professional environment that tended to the needs of our children. When I advised them they were leaving we were ostracized by the ownership about the bill. I had a conversation with the ownership and her failure to properly train her staff in the insurance billing procedure and she insisted I didn't know what I was talking about all the while being an insurance adjuster (Go figure). There was a form that needed to be submitted on their behalf and was not done so and then she tells me I don't know what I am talking about. She then threatened me with sending the balance that they ran up to an attorney. Please do not use their services because even being double insured you will still get a bill after your deductible.

I'm a Speech Language Pathologist who worked in the home health setting. I had the pleasure of…read moreusing Louisiana Voice & Swallow Solutions to provide mobile FEES services for two of my home health patients. The results of the formal swallow diagnostic allowed the patient, family, Dr & myself know what was safe for the patient & if the patient needed further speech therapy services. For one patient, the results determined that the patient was able to return to eating & drinking & not need the feeding tube any more. For the other patient, who had just been hospitalized for suspected aspiration pneumonia; but they did not get a swallow assessment in the hospital, the FEES results showed the patient was aspirating on thin liquids & needed to be placed on nectar thick liquids to decrease the risk of aspiration Pneumonia. Having the FEES service in the home of each patient allowed for comfort and relaxation for each patient because it was in their own home which is a familiar environment & it was less stress for the family because it didn't required the families to find transportation to get the patient to a facility to have a test done. Due to Covid concerns at that time, having the test done in the home also decreased the risk of exposure to other illnesses. Nicole was able to view each patient consuming a meal which allowed for a more thorough assessment of their swallow function. She came out within 24/48 hours of receiving the Dr's order & had the report submitted shortly after completing the FEES to both her Dr & myself. The patients, families, Dr & myself have been happy with the services provided by Louisiana Voice & Swallow Solutions & I would recommend using Nicole for any Swallowing or Voice assessments.
