It leaked again on second use and they repaired it, then tried to slap with us with a $600+ service fee. We used it twice, and it leaked both times and WE have to pay for that? Attached is the picture and message sent. How is it that the customer would be responsible for this the FIRST time is was used after a repair?? This is not right. Attached is a picture of the leak and the message I sent them. They are a fine company as far as showing up and doing the work, but anyone can do that- integrity comes out in the customer service provided. I emailed the owner twice, and the angry gatekeeper (who hung up on me) told me that she spoke to him and they will not reverse the charge. He doesn't even have the integrity to call an unhappy customer. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

They're always very dependable and forthright about pricing and have amazing customer service. Not the cheapest or most expensive - right at a fair price that I trust combined with the skill. I figured after about 8 visits on my fixer-upper, they've earned all 5 stars with flying colors. Highly recommend!

I don't even know where to start. My HVAC is only 3 years old and hasn't given us any problem. I…read morecalled Solace to schedule a tune-up. Nothing fancy; just clean and check the unit for the summer. That's when they came to my house and told me that my unit had over five problems, including leaking refrigerant, bad capacitors, electrical work, etc. Funny enough, their first quote was for 8k, which was to "fix these terrible problems." However, they gave me another crazier solution, to get a brand new unit, which was only 2 tons for a small house for 11k. Kid, you not. I went and got a second opinion, and as I suspected, my HVAC connections weren't the prettiest, but had no problems. The other HVAC professional also found out that they only cleaned a portion of the unit, so he installed a new disconnect, re-did my drain line, sealed my flashing, and rewashed my unit for $600 bucks. Do it at your own risk. I have never seen something like this, not even when I used to live in NY they tried to upcharge me like that.

I chose Mid-South HVAC & Electrical after reaching out to seven different companies for quotes to…read morereplace my AC and furnace. Cameron responded to my initial inquiry promptly and provided a formal quote that stood out from the rest. Getting quotes from contractors in Tennessee can be a challenge, but Mid-South made the process straightforward. Their prices were reasonable, and Cameron answered all my questions thoroughly and promptly, so we decided to move forward with the work. I do have to mention that the day before the replacement, one of the crew members came by to inspect the ductwork, which required climbing through my attic. Unfortunately, during that process, he accidentally stepped through the ceiling, creating an 18-inch hole. This incident added a lot of extra work to the project, but Cameron, although not always the most timely communicator, took responsibility. He sourced and paid for the repairs, which included repainting the ceiling and an adjacent wall. I imagine it was an expensive mistake for him and his team. Even though I'll have to hire someone out of pocket to fix the lumpy drywall after two unsuccessful attempts from two different contractors, I'm still giving Mid-South HVAC & Electrical 5 stars, for now. The crew worked efficiently to replace the units, all while respecting our shoeless house policy, which I'm sure was inconvenient for them. The new AC is holding up well through the recent 99-degree heat, and we'll see how the furnace performs this winter. We also have a 1-year labor warranty, which I hope we won't need to use.

I don't write reviews often, but I want to warn people about my experience with this contractor. I…read morehired him in 2023 for a water intrusion repair. The repair failed, and the water intrusion kept happening. When I told him about it, he denied there was an issue and never made any attempt to fix it. I ended up filing in small claims court. After 3 hearings, the case ultimately hinged on a technicality, proving the exact cause of water intrusion legally requires expert witness testimony, and hiring that expert would have cost more than what it's worth. So the case didn't get decided on the actual merits of whether the repair failed. It did fail. He just never tried to make it right like most contractors would. I paid a significant amount for this job. His other reviews suggest he may be fine for small work, but I would not trust him with anything of real size.
