I love coming to the Huntington Park Farmers Market every Wednesday! I always leave with fresh…read morefruit for the week and coming here always makes my day. Everyone is so welcoming and it is such a great time supporting vendors. There are tons of vendors to choose from, and so many healthy and delicious options. Did I mention that some vendors also offers samples of their delicious fruit? If I am not mistaken, they accept EBT vouchers or have a system in place for those who do receive it. There are some vendors selling food like pupusas and sandwiches which I have yet to try, but the line is always long which is definitely a good sign. Definitely recommend grabbing a bag (or many) of popcorn from the vendor who sells them. They are delicious and always a wonderful snack. I really like how there are healthier options being presented in my city and wish there were more of these farmers markets in Southeast Los Angeles. It does get a bit busy around 10 am and most items like the baked goods are gone by 1 pm so be sure to plan accordingly. I think visiting the farmers market and having a picnic at this park after would be a wonderful idea! Definitely worth checking out.

It's fairly small, but there are plenty of vendors with ample supplies of fresh fruits and vegetables and some flowers. My FAVORITE part though, is the fact that they don't have a BUNCH of other vendors selling stuff that, in this reporter's opinion, belong in a Farmers Market. Some places have people selling music, books, etc. and they should go to the swap-meet instead making it harder for people to get to the stuff that belongs there. I'll be back! Probably every week now that I'm retired. More photos next time.

Oh yeah!! I know all about this place. It should be called OUTLAW BBQ…read more Because after having lunch and returning to work. You are under a influenced, not to work, but instead to sleep, only waking to keep licking your fingers tips trying to get more of that Rays BBQ flavor. We had a Electrical instructor in school, that his hands on assignments in the lab were due. But most of us students were not finished yet. So we devised a plan pitched in some money and bought lunch for our instructor. After eating Ray's he fell to sleep. We worked on completing after the dead line. At end of class. The final dead line was postponed and we all passed. Thanks to Ray's BBQ there's a few more electricians out there.

Texas style BBQ spot in Huntington Park. Seems to be pretty popular in the area. The space itself…read moreis not very large, but it's clean and it has a fun vibe. It's almost like you're at a picnic. The people here are friendly. It feels family owned and operated. And the most important part is that the barbecue here is tasty. People have their favorites, but I think this is good Texas barbecue. Also, the beauty of having more Texas style barbecue places in the area is that you get a good feeling of how much a brisket usually costs. And the cost here feels pretty reasonable. Since it was my first time I had to try the brisket so I got that and a side of mac & cheese. Definitely was satisfied with my order. Great spot and I hope to be back soon.
