Unfortunately I have to post a negative review. McFarland facilitates Koehler warranty work &…read moretherefore were dispatched to our home after Koehler was super awesome and warranty replaced our leaking faucet. Koehler overnight aired a new faucet to our home. Upon arrival, McFarland was told multiple times the faucet was leaking. They completely ignored ours & Koehler's request to replace the faucet & instead took the new faucet with them & blamed the water leak on something else. In turn, we were forced to pay a different plumber $175 only to come out & tell us what we already knew...the faucet was leaking. Here's where it gets horrible...I called back to McFarland and Marcia McFarland who answers the phones was completely rude, dismissive & short with me. She also forced me to call back to Koehler to open yet another ticket (which I presume would allow them to get paid for a 2nd trip) which meant another 45 min on hold. Upon connecting to a Koehler rep, I was told by the rep that apparently Marcia had already added notes essentially stating I was lying & the faucet wasn't leaking. I was furious at this point. Because of these notes, I had to capture a video of the leak (which I then did) & send to both Koehler & McFarland. Once the new ticket was created I called back to McFarland to schedule the 2nd visit. On the call I inquired about reimbursement for the $175 I paid the other plumber to come out & tell me the faucet was leaking. Marcia went off on me!! She has NO PLACE answering phones for a company! Sooooo RUDE! She was yelling at me stating they wouldn't come to my house now unless I signed a form stating they were not responsible for the $175. I disagreed...they are 100% responsible for us having to have a second plumber out to verify what they should have accepted the first time they were there. To wrap it up, Steve did come out and replaced the leaking faucet eventually & all works now. Unfortunately we are out the $175 and McFarland is to blame but we have no recourse outside of litigation. Avoid this company at all costs as they take zero responsibility for their mistakes.

We had a patio and fire pit installed in 2021 by Mike and his crew. I was sent to pick out the…read morepaver and fire pit stone styles and sent all the information to Mike. Weeks go by (supply shortage/issues from the pandemic) and the pavers come in the "grand" size version of the pavers I sent him. He apologized and said we could reorder the other size but it would take weeks and, because they were smaller, it would be more expensive for installation. Annoying. We decided to go ahead, despite them not having the texture we would have gone with if ordering the grand size (we decided on smooth for the smaller size and if we would have went with the larger "grand" size, would have done textured). Not a great way to start the project. The pavers go in and we find the fire pit was installed with the wrong stones as well. We ordered tumbled, they installed smooth. Couldn't really go back since everything was glued down. Not sure why I even bothered picking the materials out to begin with? Another disappointment, especially with such a large investment. They had some pretty awful cuts at first in the border and came back to fix those for the most part. Next issue was the sand - they tried a new brand on our patio and the sand needed to be installed at least 3 separate times because it would fail and come out of the cracks with any rain/water. The rock beds we agreed upon were not prepped, leaving me with the job of moving all of the topsoil from the driveway to the backyard. This wouldn't have been as big of a deal if not for the steep slope and lack of gate since we couldn't walk on that side of the house until the ground firmed up again and the new grass had a chance to grow. I actually had to remove part of our fence on the other side and make a ramp for the wheelbarrow. It would have taken them maybe 10 minutes using the bobcat as we originally planned. In addition, the fire pit ring stone cracked within a few months due to the internal ring (or entire fire pit installation) being off-center and putting pressure on it during the winter. They also damaged our tree with the bobcat. We had a new fire pit ring installed by the crew that remains unglued, cracked pavers and a fence gate that is still much lower and difficult to open/latch after they replaced it following finished the patio. Our fence was also damaged by the bobcat. I wish I didn't have to write this, but I've reached out to Mike each summer to try to resolve these issues and he has now stopped responding entirely. We were told there is a 5-year warranty and clearly that is not honored by this company. Would not recommend.

As usual, no snowblower problem is a small one--you never know you have a problem until you're hip deep in snow and you want to start it up. And of course every other snowblower in the county needs work right away. I got the number from Angie's List, dialed it and they were out that day or the next. Problem was a broken belt from ingesting our morning paper buried under 6 inches of fresh snow. They picked it up and brought it back within a few days at a very reasonable price. The pick-up and delivery is a plus--no way could I have put it in my car trunk. I'm not new to machinery, but there's a time to hold and a time to fold, and when you're knee deep in snow it's the time to get help. The price including pick-up and delivery was worth it.

The company clearly states if you have a concern let them know. I sent a message indicating we still had snow and needed it removed. We have an elderly women that comes to our house daily & I was concerned for her safety. The owner proceeded to argue and imply I was lying and told me to review the terms & conditions. I'm very familiar with contracts since I manage the contracting process for a fortune 5 company. Needless to say, I removed the snow. We had a similar experience the next snow. The company did eventually show about a day after the snow fall & the sidewalks were not clear of snow. Again, I reached out and sent a picture indicating my concern for the safety of people using our sidewalk & walks. Again he implied I was lying. At this point, I concluded I would need to do the sidewalks myself moving forward. Understandably, sometimes due to timing snow can't be removed at the best time. At this point, I was told he would refund me. I was refunded but the next day they charged the full amount AGAIN without consent. I reached out with proof asking why this occurred. I was basically told it had been refunded and there wasn't an issue. When I checked in again they acknowledged I was charged again & would be refunded. The refund is not showing on my account and I'm hopeful it is processing. I switched to 'Quality Seasons' for the 1 inch snow trigger and should have stayed with the reliable service we have had for years.
