First, the way they are charging for their services and submitting insurance claims has changed. This has resulted in the cost being a flat rate that is nearly 3 times the cost of a typical visit. No matter what they do, whether tests, shots, etc they just use one charge code now. Where a visit without tests and shots used to cost 125 for me, it's now 357. Same level of care, inflated price. In addition, their claim submission uses the UrgentCare as the provider now. The NP we saw, Benda, is in-network for my insurance, but this urgent care facility is not. So my visit was classified as "out-of-network". Lastly, we were not informed of the changes to the cost, and weren't informed that the changes caused us to be out of network for our insurance. We went 3 times before we got the first bill and started asking questions. For all these reasons, we will find a different location for urgent care services.
