No preference is given to appointment-holders: After booking a late-afternoon appointment in the morning, and completing all the paperwork online, I arrived 11 minutes prior to my appointment time and checked in online as the receptionist was assisting another customer. She confirmed I was checked in when she was free from across the lobby, and I sat to wait. You can view the waitlist online, and I saw I was the only booked appointment waiting, and there were three walk-ins, the other three people in the lobby, presumably. I sat for 30 minutes during which no one was called back; after a patient left the receptionist assured another woman that she would be called next, so I approached the desk to clarify: would I not be seen next since my pre-scheduled appointment was now 30 minutes past time? The receptionist dithered, but eventually admitted that the wait-list is generated as people walk-in, so there's virtually no benefit to booking an appointment online ahead of time. She went ahead and had me seen next, but I was in the building for a total of an hour and thirty-five minutes, after thinking I was doing myself a favor by pre-booking. I've been through two different urgent cares in Stillwater in less time with no appointment at all. If you don't mind waiting, then walk-in at your own risk, but if, like me, you're looking to save yourself some time by booking an appointment ahead of time, don't bother. Awful experience for my son who is in college at OSU and went here to be seen for stomach issues to get terrible treatment and to be misdiagnosed twice and sent home and ended up at the ER. read more

My son who is in college at OSU was turned away because I wasn't with him ( as I live in Texas), when I could have been easily called to complete the Pediatric release. You could obviously see that he was sick. You should be completely ashamed of yourself over this. Will never use Access Care, ever again. read more

If you or a family member is hurt with possible broken bones or sprained anything please don't waste your time & money going to this clinic. Take them directly to the ER or a primary care Dr. over the past few years I've had two sons with a broken wrist and ribs that went here. They charged for both visits and at the end of the visit told us to go to a primary care Dr or ER. They will not help with pain management for a medical situation where a person needs real help with the pain from broken bones. read more

I had a horrible experience at the AMC Plus and decided to call this urgent care instead. The woman on the phone was very kind and understanding. They got me in very quickly once I explained the situation. The doctor was also kind and helpful when treating my burn. Respectable people who care about helping others. read more

literally waited an hour in the lobby and wouldnt pick up my calls while at home. once i got in i sat in the medical room for 30 more minutes. after that i waited another 20 just to get prescription. running a 102 fever and i asked for ibuprofen, waited another 10 to get 2 TABLETS to help my fever. never coming back here, even took me atleast 20 minutes to fill out the the documents to see doctor. find another place in stillwater, cause this place is not it. have never written a review before and was so irritated i had to download yelp and say this for any future sick people looking for a place to get help. read more

The front staff Kala and back staff JoHanna were absolutely amazing. Dr. Bearden on the other hand did not provide good care. I felt like he was just pushed me thru rather quickly. Needless to say I just got worse over the next couple of days and I had to return. I then called and was told to come back. Once again Kala and JoHanna were absolutely AMAZING. This go around I was seen by Shannon Moore and she was AWESOME....immediately told me what meds I needed and prescribed them and now within 24 hours things are going much much better!!! read more

The provider and nurses were kind, but I feel like I was overcharged and deceived. My son needed his arm checked out and I expected it to be a regular copay. They sent off his x rays (instead of looking at them there) so they said I would have to pay since I hadn't reached my deductible. I can kinda understand that (even though we've had X-rays with just the copay before). However, even though he didn't have a break, they brought in a sling for him. The nurse reassured me it came with the visit and would be no extra charge. She just needed me to sign I received it so they could order more. A few weeks later I received a bill saying the sling was an ADDITIONAL $200 and after my insurance I still owed nearly $100 of that. Now the third party company is calling me and harassing me about this sling I never agreed to pay for. I tried calling access and was always put on hold. I tried emailing the customer care explaining the situation and saying I could have gotten a sling at Walgreens for $30. I never received any kind of response. Beware of all the extra charges and if they offer you a sling refuse it! Get your own. read more

Everyone was rude, the lady at the front desk seemed annoyed, the nurse barely asked anything, and the doctor acted like she was laughing at my pain. The doctor also seemed to just take it as a joke since I am a college kid. She didn't check anything but just stood there and looked at me. They didn't help me whatsoever. One of my friends came after getting a concussion and they told her it was nothing. She ended up passing out after looking at a laptop and had to go to the ER. Such a waste of money and I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

This place is horrible, came in at the opening time 9AM. Waited an hour to be seen and did not even get the basic standard of questions; "have you taken any meds in the past 24 hours, list of symptoms.. etc." The NP's appearance was very unprofessional and again didn't seem to concerned about my symptoms. I was written a prescription for a $130 medication and given an expired coupon to help pay for it. I have a double ear infection and allergies but wasn't even asked about my allergies or given medicine to treat my stuffy nose cough. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! read more

This place was horrible. Wouldn't give them 1 star but it makes you. Waited for two hours in a room. Told me that a Dr would be in to see me and it was a NP. Was told you need this and this but I'm not a Dr so I can't do anything. Then was told well if your Blood Pressure doesn't go down in the next 30-45 minutes, you probably should go to the ER. I was there for another 30 minutes waiting on a piece of paper and it still hadn't went down. Don't advertise as an Urgent Care if you don't have Dr's there that can do something. read more

Do not trust what they tell you on the phone. After I got to the clinic they tried to charge me more and then tried to sell me some kind of insurance. They are trusting that because people are sick and need help they won't notice and it's wrong to take advantage of sick people. read more

What an absolute joke. This is long- enjoy the ride. Arrived yesterday (Sunday) with a tick bite with a bull's eye around it. I got there right at 9am when they opened, and the first red flag was the administrative assistant didn't know how to process my insurance and told me they would just have to bill me later, after I told her repeatedly what my co-pay was. Clerical errors I can excuse, and although it was annoying I know I'll be billed so okay. As the first one there, I get pulled back at 9:15 and wait in the exam room until 9:30. The nurse was great- she was the only good part of the experience. I told her at that time I'm highly allergic to sulfa drugs- so please make note of that. When the nurse practitioner (mind you I never got to see an actually doctor) came in I showed her the bite and explained my concern. She glanced at it for less than a second and said, "Yep, that's a bug bite." Thanks Web MD- I could have diagnosed myself! She said she'd give me a tetanus shot, antibiotics, and to take an allergy pill. When I asked her why a tetanus shot she said, "Spiders and bugs are icky little creatures and we don't know what germs they have." I get explaining things in laymen's terms, but I'm not a child. I asked her if I needed to start the medications that day (Sunday) as my pharmacy was closed or if I should wait for my pharmacy to open and she said, "Up to you." I'M NOT THE MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL! I'm here for your "expertise" (hahaha). So after being told I have an "icky bug bite" and deciding myself I'd better start drugs that day, I reminded her about my sulfa allergy and the crazy really begins. I end up going to CVS and when I pick up the prescription (mind you the OTC allergy pills she recommended were actually antacids- typo I guess?) the pharmacist says, "These are sulfa based so be sure to drink lots of water." I explain that I'm allergic to sulfa and he says that those particular antibiotics have such a high sulfa content they could have sent me into anaphylactic shock. He calls the clinic to try to get me another script, and it rolls to voicemail saying they're closed. Furious, I drive back over to the clinic, where the secretary says, "oh you know, someone told us last Sunday the phone wasn't working but we weren't sure what was going on. It's been nice not getting calls or fax all day!" They then laugh about it and begin discussing how to correct the problem and decide on e-mail instead of calling b/c it will take longer. I finally get the correct prescription with an apology from the nurse. This place is a complete JOKE! AVOID and go to the walk-in on 6th street. Thank God for an attentive pharmacist or I would have been in the ER with an actual emergency. read more

Went 2x in the last month and got just what was needed each time! The doctor or PA that we saw listened to us attentively, asked the appropriate questions and had great bedside manner. I not only will recommend them, I already HAVE sent my relatives to them! read more

I am not one to usually do reviews but here I am! I took my 16 month old into the clinic last night because she was wheezing and her breathing just did not seem normal to me. We got there, the reception area was nice, the wait was not too long, the nurse was good, and the doctor was not good! He told me she did not have any wheezing and she would get over it and gave me a prescription for the onset of an ear infection in her right ear. I was just not convinced with that diagnosis! Ear infections do not cause wheezing and breathing patterns to change! But how could he know how she was breathing since he was literally in the room less than a few minutes and he never took the time to watch her breathe. We were up all night with her and I was able to get her squeezed in with her normal doctors office today. She has bronchiolitis, double ear infections, and needs breathing treatments! So thankful that I went with my gut and got a 2nd opinion. read more
