Very happy with the design of the product and customer service in the Berlin shop. I've had the same pair of sunglasses for years and went back recently for a pair of reading glasses. I read some of the previous reviews and some other customers seem disappointed that their frames, after being mishandled, weren't indestructible as promised. None of the sales people ever promised me that these frames are indestructible, however I've had the same sunglasses for 5 or 6 years and while they aren't exactly in mint condition, they are damn close and I have not been easy on them at all. They have held up better than expected. With the reading glass, I ordered the wrong the lenses and even though it was entirely my mistake, the people in the shop bent over backward to get me the right pair of lenses with a truly surprising and absolutely unanticipated cost savings... and fast. The advisors in the store were helpful, patient, friendly and happy to take the time to get to know this customer personally. Highly recommend. read more

Worst glasses ever. Require adjusting every 30 seconds and still always look crooked. More importantly, I CAN'T SEE PROPERLY because the crooked lenses misalign with my eyes. Their website representations about a "perfect fit" are FALSE. read more

I wore my IC Berlins for a few years and adored them. Then I just decided I wanted more of a "statement" frame, and switched it up for two years. Just returned to my old IC frames last year with new scrip, and again, they are %$^$ incredible (if understated). I just this sec dropped them on my office floor, and heard a depressing 'crunch' when I stepped on them. Looked down, and it looked pretty grim. As with every other time I almost broke them, one quick snap and they are back in business. They are worth every penny. read more

The arm on my ic Berlin glasses falls off all the time, and both side hinges pull my hair out almost every time I take them off. I would have gone bald in front if I did not stop wearing them. The glasses were a waste of a lot of money for me, and my optical shop did not take them back so I'm stuck with them. Buyer beware. read more

These glasses are great glasses, unfortunately their customer service is non existent. I have sent 5 emails to this company , originally I received an email , but none for the past 4. So just know, their glasses are great, but if you run into an issue with these glasses, you will be on your own with no support. As these are on a higher price range you would hope for some type of response from them as a customer, yet they give none. Hence I am now searching for a new brand , sadly . read more

I purchased a pair of Ic Berlin Staddmitte U6v frames and had the lens fitted by a local optometrist. After 9 Months the frames failed on one side due to a material failure, I glued up the break and after another month the other side failed at exactly the same point. I am an Architect, and selected these frames on the basis they were a well designed product. I sent ic ! Berlin photos and details they agreed and said they would replace them. I provided my receipt of purchase from an online optical shop and they said they did not honour online purchases. So beware ic! Berlin products are not well designed and when they fail they do not honour their warranty. read more

Fantastic design with their one piece frame and screw-less design. I purchased the Binz frame last summer and have had no luck getting them fitted properly. I've had a number of opticians adjust the glasses on numerous occasions and still they slip off my face. I will definitely stay away from the straight arm temple design in the future on any new glasses. I have contacted IC! directly to get tips on proper fitting and heard back weeks later to have my optician order a different style of temple with hooked ear pieces. I asked for a link to a picture or picture so I could see what they look like but have not had any response after 5 months. Customer service from a distance seems to be weak. Great design, but very poor fit based on my experience. Update: April 4th, 2012 This is the latest response from IC! Berlin "You will have to contact a dealer in your area, your temples will have to be made because we don't have them in stock. The special hooked temples you can also order but, you will have to pay extra because the item is discontinued. Your final price will be at your dealers discretion." Disappointing to hear that a frame that is only 7 months old is no longer supported. Buyers beware. This place is great. It's the original shop for IC-Berlin, and they've kept it the same. Also if you want get just the right frames, they have the best supply and the customer service is first rate. Last time I was in there an "Angela" (from Brazil I think) was very helpful, she had great advice on what frames would work for my face, yet was not pushy at all. In the end I decided on 2 frame that are super cool! IC-Berlin are superior frames, even to Mykita. I've had a pair of IC-Berlin Sunglasses that lasted 12 years (they're still in good shape). The staff member who helped me was patient and showed me a variety of options. The sunglasses were expensive but the quality and the service made it worth it. read more

I have been wearing spectacles for the past 20 years. Recently, invested my most expensive asset with the purchase of a pair of IC!Berlin spectacles. I bought it in early January 2016 and found that it started to rusty on the frame near the lenses groove area. Contacted them via facebook messenger yesterday. Unfortunately, I was upset with their reply. Their message was below:- "Hi Kah Seng, that's a shame you had to return your new glasses so quickly. To avoid it happening again we recommend you clean the frame regularly, including taking the lens out to make sure nothing builds up in the groove. You can find out how at www.ic-berlin.de/productinfo." I do clean my spectacles every day. Was this not consider regularly? sigh........ My question is why such a reputable manufacturer produces glasses which can not withstand rust? I am so disappointed that I did not do any research prior to the purchase. This will be the worst investment I have ever made. I do hope that IC!Berlin do see purchasers' review and make tremendous improvement in material quality. read more

Last summer I bought glasses. Acetate rim. Used 3 months. In winter, I kept it in a case. In the spring I got out and saw that they had completely lost their form. Twisted. Turned to the store with the requirement to change to metal. Because I do not want to correct them every season. The store said that the manufacturer refused. Wrote two e-mails to the company. I purchase one of the frames. Cost me a lot but was worth it. The salesperson told me it was almost indestructible and thinking they back up their products, i was sold. One night my glasses fell under the table while i was dining. I didn't notice until i stepped on it but only while i was still sitting. I notice that the top frame where it holds my lens broke off. I was surprised because i didn't stepped on it while i was standing up. It was still under one year warranty. Called the main company in new york city and explained the situation and they just told me it was my fault and their products are not indestructible like they promote in their website. I wanted to purchase the frame only and they brushed me off, to tell me to go back to the place i bought it. They wanted 300 hundred dollars just for the frame. Ok. Buyers beware of products like this saying they are very good, hard to break, great service to customers. Don't think so. Paid almost 600 bucks for what? ?? No help, poor products, no warranty and no help. Thanks a lot IC Berlin. Would not recommend this to anyone. read more
