My wife and I tried out cycle touring for the first time. Although we are both avid cyclists, riding more than 7000-8000 kilometers each year, we'd not done the touring bit.
We cycled from Brussels. The ibis did the trick. Small, but efficiently laid out, and very quiet if windows are kept shut.
You can probably avoid the 7.5 euro breakie which is pretty limited, by walking down stairs to the supermarket and picking up stuff. Except of course if you're a coffee drinker since a cuppa will set you back 2 euro each.
The town center is a 15-20 minute walk to the east, with plenty of shops and restaurants. read more
