My wife and I stayed here a few nights ago while on a road trip through Europe. We booked a non-smoking room. According to the signs on the doors, the entire floor was also non smoking. However, there was a vent in the room that was pumping smoke literally onto my face the entire night. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels in Europe, both expensive and cheap, and I get that smoking is still pretty common there. It's never been a big deal or particularly bothersome. But I've never had anything like this happen before. It was so intense and so much smoke I didn't actually end up sleeping at all.
I'm giving this hotel two stars because they lady at the front desk was nice and because it was ultimately very cheap. But really, just don't stay here if you think high volumes of cigarette smoke in your face for hours is going to be a problem. read more
