I have stayed at one other Iberostar in Mexico and it was amazing! Albufera Playa in Mallorca is all looks and very little substance. My friend and I purchased prestige level which includes some perks like prestige lounge on the rooftop. I loved that perk because it was adults only and very relaxing. It had infinity pool and stunning views of the Muro beach and turquoise water of the sea. We also had unlimited access to alcoholic drinks that we got to mix ourselves.
The grounds are stunning! It's an eco-friendly establishment so don't expect a lot printed on paper. The room we had was cute. The balcony was a great touch because it gave us some stunning views of the pool area and the beach in the distance.
The beach is public and doesn't belong to the hotel. The service at this hotel is great if you really push it. What I mean is once you show that you mean business, they will pretty much kiss your feet.
It's not an adults only resort so there are a lot of kids running around doing their annoying kid things.
This huge property only had three restaurants that were open on different days so it was impossible to make any reservations. So we had to speak to the manager directly. Boom! We got reservations!
Buffet restaurants are very chaotic at lunch time with kids running! Insane! It wasn't my vibe at all. Babies crying all the time.
Now, out of three restaurants we tried I liked only one. The Greek restaurant was absolutely gorgeous inside but the food was just blah at best. Their skewers were very stale and tough to chew. The desert was the best part of the meal.
There are plenty of lounge chairs by the pools so it's a good thing.
Entertainment was a joke. Kids seem to like it but I didn't. No nightlife so you may have to venture out into Alcudia for bars and music.
The bars look very pedestrian at this place and have no character.
Overall, I tried to enjoy it as best as I can but it could have been much better. read more
