This was our first visit to Iberia 8:30pm on a Thursday evening. Our seating seemed unorganised even though we had reserved a week in advance, we where offered a choice of bar seating facing the street or a table right next to another group even though there was plenty of seating down the other end of restaurant. Over all feel of the place felt small but exclusive with a quirky vibe.
Drinks menu had a good array of local wines, beers and a few things you wouldn't come across in your local bottle shop
We had a nice waiter however he seemed a little uninformed due to suggesting a main course set menu of 10 dishes, something he promised was only for ravenous appetite as it was quite a bit of food! But as the dishes came out only 7 where counted and it did not leave us with that overly full belly feeling like stated however the food was very well prepared and thought out, each little dish had a back story from where it was picked locally, this menu is not for your average simple or basic pallet, every dish has complex flavours and textures which we thoroughly enjoyed exploring.
The best addition to this restaurant is the down stairs cocktail bar, great music, lighting and the overall vibe down there made us stick around to try a few cocktails, some of the best we've had yet here in Adelaide, cocktail bar is a head against the rest which i'm sure we will return to again. read more
