She answered the phone even though she was with a client she still answered and told me she was with a client, but she asked if I could text her the details. I went ahead and texted her and she responded once she was done with her client in a timely manner. She was very thorough about the procedure I was asking for and first impression was super sweet and professional woman. I've seen her work and the quality is amazing! Beware of "booking fees"…read more I went to Emily back in December 2020/ January 2021. Her salon was clean, she was very organized and explained the whole process very well. As I was getting my brows done, however, I felt like my eyeballs were going to burst. She pressed on them super hard with her hand as she was doing them. I thought it was normal since she does this for a living so I didn't say a word. When she was done, my eyes were sore, I thought my eyebrows were really nice the color was just a little too reddish for my liking, but I thought she knew best and overall I was happy. Then about a year and a half later, I had to book my annual. I paid $100 "booking fee". About a week before my appt I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. I was so happy, I texted her to let her know and she said it's ok no problem we'll reschedule. Sadly, I had a miscarriage a few weeks after that. A few months later I finally felt better, and I reached out to Emily to set up an appt. She requested another $100. I didn't realize that her "booking" fee was non-transferable even for circumstances out of my control - like being pregnant. I am aware that she has it plastered all over her website now that there are no exceptions. But still, Its the principle of the thing that bothers me. I ended up getting pregnant again around the time I would have re-booked the annual so I was thankful I didn't send her another booking fee or she would've pocketed another $100 for nothing when she could easily fill your spot with a single insta story. Well, I just got my brows done by another artist and im happy I did. I didn't feel like my eyeballs were going to burst, and their rescheduling policy is much more reasonable. As a mom of four, life happens and sometimes I have to reschedule. If this is also you - I'd find someone else.
