I had an unusual request to replace my 1969 Mustang Dark Ivy Gold seats with a set of 2001 Mustang Bullitt seats with new materials. They had an array of different materials and colors, but none could match. They even checked with other vendors to no avail. I found an online Ford vendor that could provide the exact color and grain at a premium price. Talked to Ian's folks and they said they would help me with installation if I could get the materials. Online vendor took a while, but when we got the product, Ian's Auto Interior did a fantastic job of covering a set of front seats for a 2001 Bullitt Mustang with 1969 Mustang vinyl that matches Dark Ivy Gold (green) exactly. read more

I paid Ian's Auto Interior $600 to install a leather seat kit from Al Knoch for my 1965 corvette restomod. A 200k car The kit cost more than $2,000. I dealt with Ryan. The seats came back a mess. Ryan's response was worse than the wrinkles: arrogant, contemptuous, and completely unwilling to own work he had already been paid to do. First install: sloppy. They said they would do it again. Same sloppy job. Piping does not line up. Wrinkles all over. Top skins sit crooked, and that is why the upper and lower piping miss. Calling that a redo is an insult. Ryan did not own it. He blamed the manufacturer, shrugged, and treated a $2,000 kit and a $600 labor bill like they were my problem for bringing the skins in. He made it plain he felt no duty to the finish because he did not sell the leather. That is a coward's excuse. If the kit was defective he should have refused the job before he took a dollar. He took the dollar. Then he hid behind the kit. Hostile. Short. Dismissive. Flippant. Chip on his shoulder the entire conversation. No apology. No plan. No respect. Just contempt for the work and contempt for the person who paid for it. That is not the shop Ian built a name on. That is a man who will collect $600, deliver wrinkled crooked seats twice, and still look at you like you are wasting his time. One star is generous. Do not give Ryan your kit. I will not go back. They were very unwilling to help me repair my auto upholstery issue with a cheap fix... all I needed was a new zipper slider for the seat cover and they offered to put a whole new zipper in for $250.. I ultimately went to NLV Pick A Part, got a zipper for FREE and was able to fix it myself.. GREEDY and not helpful at all. read more

So I wasn't able to get the service I wanted Ryan is way beyond your average upholstery specialist. He has a ton of experience in wide range of problems he has to take care of. I really wanted to get upholstery change because I had sciatica problems here and there. He educated me on why from your average daily driver to all day drivers need upholstery. He did such a simple fix with just elevating my chair and made the BIGGEST difference. I'm glad we have a very kind and wise upholstery master in his craft. $5000 dollar top put on my 2016 mustang convertible few years ago and leaked and felt wet inside after washing or rain took to ford in vegas on 215 they said a piece wasn't connected took it back to Ian's and they "fixed it" it doesn't rain a lot in vegas but still noticed moisture inside my car let it ride since it didn't rain often before I moved to Illinois I contacted Ian's and asked if they could check it they said let us get back to you and never did I moved to Illinois and heavy rain noticed my back seat floor would fill with water I take it to prestige auto convertible tops 2.5 hrs from where I live and they tell me the top was not put on correctly that the drain pathways were not connected correctly and the top was done incorrectly and not directed to the water run offs 5k and I have water damage to my interior of a car I've put a lot of money into because they didn't do it correctly from the beginning just telling my story have a great day! read more

Well, been awhile since I had my seat covers (katzkin) installed. I got a deal from ians because they were in stock, color wasn't what I wanted but they were close to half off. The covers themselves aren't really that good, disappointed in the quality. The shop, ians did a ok job on 3 of the seats, some have wrinkles and was told they will even out. Never did. The drivers side panel was broken and cracked in several spots, and they broke the mounting tabs off and glued them back ( not very well either ) now the panel hangs there loose. I'm an old school car guy and I was referred to Ian's to rebuild my lower seat in my 22 year old Ford Super Duty after the foam bolsters wore out and the support wires gave way - typical for 200k mile truck that still has a lot of life left but I was driving in a "sink hole". Ryan was great - he knew I wanted to stay close to OEM and his explanation of repair was second nature. These guys know interiors. He educated me on what "listing wires" actually are since I spent a week searching "Dr. Google" and Amazon for the parts to fix it myself which ultimately I'm glad I left this repair to an expert. I bought the foam cushion from Ford and Ryan had it back within a couple of days better than new. I appreciate their attention to detail. The side cloth repair is not an easy match and is long discontinued by the manufacturer. Ryan added padding back under the new cloth. This is a great way to give my older Ford truck new life. I have another 20+ year old Chevy I will entrust Ian's to keep looking new. My Gen 1 Camaro dream will become reality soon and I will have Ian's upholstery take care of that as well. I brought my 2013 Mercedes C300 to have the drivers seat repaired. I dropped the car off around 8:30 AM and received a call at 1:30 PM that the car was ready for pickup. I recently purchased a 2014 Aston Martin Vantage and it had a couple of dash panels with leather shrinkage/damage. I followed up with the recommendation from Aston Martin service center and took the panels to Ian's. Met Ryan there and he recommended that we should replace the leather with alcantata to avoid heat shrinkage in the future and they will look great. Ryan matched the color of the alcantara almost perfectly to the existing alcantara on the roof liner and the pillars. They promised to have it done in 2 days and delivered.
