I cannot recommend Dr. Iqbal highly enough. My original ADHD diagnosis was actually done by a different psychiatry service, but I had some issues with them, so I hunted around for an alternative treatment provider, and happened upon IamPsychiatry. I'm so glad I did! The difference was like night and day. Obviously I had to be reassessed before Dr. Iqbal could treat me, but the wait for an appointment was much shorter than at most other ADHD clinics, and everything went very smoothly. Dr. Iqbal immediately put me at ease, and I felt heard and understood, which was a fairly rare experience for me with previous clinicians! He takes time to listen to your concerns, and works with you to find the right treatment path that *you* need, understanding that all patients are different, with different bodies and brains. He also offers a more holistic approach, taking diet and other environmental factors into consideration and discussing those with you in addition to prescribing medication. The cherry on top was when he was able to help me set up a shared care agreement with my GP - an outcome which can be drawn out, complicated, and not always attainable, especially if your initial diagnosis was made by a private ADHD specialist. My situation was no different, and the process wasn't completely without hurdles, but Dr. Iqbal went above and beyond to help me, and we got there in the end! Communication is efficient and friendly - Dr. Iqbal's amazing secretary, Pam, responds quickly and kindly, and since the admin team were the main reason why I moved on from my previous ADHD clinic, that was super important to me. All in all, I would recommend IamPsychiatry to anyone who thinks they might have ADHD, who needs an assessment but doesn't want to wait months or even years, or who needs to speak to a psychiatrist for any other reason (Dr. Iqbal also helped me with an anxiety issue). I have been recommending them to anyone who's asked... it's just taken me a little while to get around to writing this review. lol read more

More than 2 years after I made contact with Dr Iqbal Mohiuddin, it only becomes more obvious as time goes on that this was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. I had struggled through 16 years of being misunderstood and harmed by mental health professionals by the time I had gotten in contact with this incredibly honest and hardworking doctor. Dr Iqbal has the perfect bedside manner, he is professional while being extremely empathetic and it's clear how hard he tries to make his patients lives better. You feel at ease speaking to him, he is non-judgemental and always takes how you feel about his suggestions into consideration. This is rare. From my physical health improving to actually wanting to be alive, I am more grateful than ever that I came accross Dr Iqbal and was lucky enough to access this life saving treatment. It will be a very sad day when takes his well deserved retirement. We urgently need more doctors like this. I cannot thank Dr Iqbal enough. read more

In 2016 aged 19 I was hospitalized for acute mental health problems I spent a month in there and at the end, as I know come to know, was wrongly diagnosed with emotionally unstable personality disorder, and was prescribed the relevant meds to help with this illness. After leaving hospital, though I was a bit more stable than before going in, I was still struggling with ongoing problems. I was hospitalized several more times over the next few years. Now 26 I got in contact with dr Iqbal and after a few sessions and close listening from dr mohiuddin, he started to talk through the possibilities of a wrong diagnosis as things weren't adding up, I always struggled with inattention and impulsiveness and dr iqbal recommend i take a screening for adult adhd. I scored 87%. the more we talked it was clear this is what was causing my suffering and for the first time in my life I was finally given the right diagnosis of adult ADHD. I felt relieved. I was put on a medical stabilization, and have seen massive improvements already. It was thanks to dr Iqbals knowledge, experience, attentiveness to my needs, and kindness (which can sometimes be missing in psychiatrists) that im doing miles better and am on a positive path and feel optimistic for a good future.
