She recommended some of the local seafood dishes and we settled on the octopus, seafood ravioli, and limoncello cake. The octopus was tender and flavorful. After a week of touristy meals, we were so happy to see unique Italian meals. The smaller menu piqued our interest and the kitchen delivered with flavorful and interesting combinations we had not tried before. The staff was very attentive and our hostess made sure we understood what we were ordering in case of any translation errors. The bread was like butter, soft and so flavorful. As I ate my meal I couldn't help but "mmmm" with each bite! So glad we took the chance and tried this wonderful restaurant!

Wow, what a surprise gem this hotel bar turned out to be!…read more First, they have a wonderful roof-top terrace overlooking a Sestri Levante bay on the Ligurian Sea. I don't know why the other reviewer said "...don't expect a good view...". The view is great! Sunsets have been beautiful from this bar! Second, they have Marco and Frederico! Marco is the bartender and Frederico is the head waiter. Together they treat their guests as if we were old family friends. Marco makes a mean martini! I had two martinis my first night at the bar, and they kicked my butt! At least, I think they must have, considering I walked (staggered) back to the hotel bar after leaving to try and find my phone, which Marco tactfully questioned me about and caused me to realize it was still in my back pocket! Like I said, good martinis! Frederico waited on us attentively. He brought us an amazing tray of free munchies to chew on with our drinks, and when they were gone, brought them out again! Between he and Marco, they really made the Sestri Levante experience a lasting memory for us! The bar is just 10-15 minutes from the Albergo Marina Hotel, where we are staying (another great find I will be reviewing this week)! The bar can be found at: Suite Hotel Nettuno Ristorante La Terrazza Solarium, Lounge Bar Say, "Buongiorno!" to Marcos and Frederico, enjoy a Sestri Levvante sunset, and taste the wonderful bar magic that Marco is so good at! You'll be glad you did!

As a Celiac, it's so nice to find restaurants who respect you versus think of you as another "gluten free". 100% recommend them to all travelers - regardless of gluten free or not! My boyfriend isn't gluten free and this was his favorite meal of our entire trip as well.

Primo in lista tiramisù.

The baked fish with potatoes was cooked to perfection, and the pasta was simply outstanding. What truly made the experience special, though, was the hospitality. The service was excellent, and our server made wonderful recommendations that we thoroughly enjoyed. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner's daughter, who was absolutely delightful.
