I've been coming here off and on for years. The food is great - a solid 4+. Pastas and pizzas are…read morereally good and the atmosphere is nice as a neighborhood kind of place. My family and I used to come weekly but the service can fluctuate between great and non existent depending on who you get... most of the waitstaff is good, but the owner... he often seems to regard customers as a nuisance rather than the life blood of his business. On several occasions we were left hanging without a place to sit even after making reservations... and he was dismissive and nasty (despite all the business we had brought him). On other occasions I was hung up on (by the owner) when I called and tried to make a reservation in English (despite the fact that most of the staff speaks English). Bottom line: the food makes this place worth your time as long as the owner decides that you are worth his.

Very busy, lots of groups and definately lots of positive energy in the air. We did not have reservations as most people did but the person at the front desk asked us to wait patiently for a few minutes which we did and wound up in a lovely table after the bar. A very simple order of buratta with tomatoes and pizza. A short wait later we were served the beautiful dish of Buratta and as the "L.C." review said: "A pizza as big as a the table." Pizza was excellent! A delicious thin crispy crust with a very tasty sauce and wonderful (and plentiful) cheese. Buratta also hit it out of the park with delicious small tomatoes and a rich creamy cheeese. I cold not recommend this place more if your looking for good tasty food at a very reasonable price in a great venue. KUDOs to the team at L'Osteria

This is definitely a great place to eat and obviously very popular with locals and tourists. We arrived early and made our way to the bar for a cocktail while we waited for an outside table to open up. They have menus in English if you need it, all the wait staff were friendly and super nice. I had spaghetti bolognese which was a big portion and very tasty. My companions had mushroom risotto and a pizza (huge)! We all enjoyed our meal and it was affordable and good value.

With a reservation a short time in advance, they have so far always been able to accomodate a small group (6-10) for lunch without any problem. The prices are okay (a bit high for a bargain lunch), but they usually have some reasonably priced lunch specials (salad+main dish) if you want a full meal. In my experience, the food has always been good. The service can be hit or miss. If you are alone or a group less than 4, check out the cafe next door. It offers the same pizza and pasta for 1 or 2EUR less.

Very nicely furnished central pizzeria with truly great food…read more We were a group of six and we enjoyed a wonderful evening full of conviviality and nice atmospheres. The Pizzas were very yummie, the ingredients of good quality, an excellent oven, service is also accurate and kind. The only true drawback: they tend to be pushy in selling. And they charge you for things you didnt think you ordered. We wanted antipasti to share: we said "a couple", they charged us for six(!). They didnt bring us any bread, instead "pizza pane": this was charged extra as two pizzas. Honestly if you do a good job (and here it seems to be the case food-wise!) you do not need to steal. And this overcharging is in substance ripping off customers. Because of this these folks are now pretty much on my black list and I invite you all customers going there to make sure they do not overcharge you with all the nice but expensive extras. Boy, were we glad we found this place. We both ordered the same special: house-made tagliolini pasta, which was swirled in a wheel of parmesan cheese, then topped with black truffle shavings for 17 euro. When our dishes arrived, the pasta looked amazing and tasted just as good as it looked. They didn't skimp on the truffle either. The last bite was just as good as the first. We loved it. So much so that we went back the next evening and ordered the same thing. Fantastic house-made pasta, friendly service, and several house-made desserts to choose from. The pizza looked really good as well. Five stars in my book.
