Four Mile Historic Park - Bright Nights on August 27, 2025

Wow, my yesterday's visit to this historic park was so mesmerizing. It's because of their annual…read more(?) "Bright Nights" (originally a lantern festival.) It is said that they unveil a brand new theme each year and this year's theme appears to be focused on some Eastern cultures such as cherry blossom and bamboo forest with pandas. Not that I have been to many lights shows and yet I must say that I have never seen anything quite like this as far as my recollection is accurate. In its 12-acre land, the installations of lantern lights are everywhere. After 8:30pm or so when it's dark, the illuminations from the lanterns are glowing brighter than Las Vegas' illuminations (LOL - why am I comparing this to Las Vegas!!) According to the park's website, some of the sculptures are 23-foot tall (such as the cherry blossom gate.) It's currently open from Wednesday through Sunday until October 5th. And last night's was one of the adult-only nights where you must be 21+ to enter (I believe the next and last such night is Sept 17th. And this writing is as of late August of 2025.) I am already curious as to what the next year's theme is going to be. There is a centralized bar, some food vendors, a stage where a performer performs, and a DJ booth. Great for family time, girls' night or date night. Helpful staff were working tirelessly to assist all visitors. Although about 1,300 tickets were sold last night, it was never super jammed packed. There is still time to visit this enchanting light show. Not only for the locals but definitely one of the must-visit attractions for out-of-staters as well.

Every inch of the 12 acres had lights and even in the trees and bushes. So many details that it seemed realistic. Many of the lanterns were interactive such as stationary bikes or cranks to power the lights to glow even brighter. The staff were friendly and happy to help. This event is for young and old and I highly recommend going!

Review Title: Refusing Legal ID? Get Real…read more Wow, Bowlero. It's 2025, and somehow you're still stuck in the past. I was genuinely excited to enjoy a night out, but that went straight out the window when your staff refused to accept my Colorado Digital ID -- even though it's a state-issued, legal, government-verified form of identification. Let me say that again for the folks in the back: IT'S A LEGAL ID. Colorado's Digital ID app is recognized by the state as a valid replacement for physical IDs. It's secure, up-to-date, and fully backed by Colorado law. But instead of being informed, your staff chose to treat me like I was trying to pass off a fake. Embarrassing for who? You, not me. If you're going to operate a business that cards people, maybe train your staff to recognize actual legal identification, not just whatever they feel like accepting. You're not above the law, and turning away paying customers over ignorance isn't a cute look. Get it together, Bowlero

I really want to give Bowlero 2 stars, but Al, the Pro Shop associate, did a wonderful job…read moreassisting us with getting our new Heckler Bowling ball situated. Other than this great experience the rest was quite dismal. We sat at the bar for 15 minutes and no one helped us. We then rented a lane, which we seemed quite pricey. The interior is cute, but it is a bit crowded in the seating area. We ordered using the QC code; ice tea, beer, water, loaded French fries and hot dogs. My tea came right away, but 20 minutes later I had to go looking for the rest of the order. I walked up to the snack area, and this is where the service got bad. Three employees, including the manager sat there just chitchatting away and straight up ignored me. I had to wave my hand and say Hello? Twice before they stopped. Without even asking directly about my order, the manager said oh, we didn't realize you ordered a beer, because the ticket prints in the bar and I don't have a bartender. Hmmm, I didn't tell you why was there. While I waited for my beer the food was served. The "loaded" fried didn't have bacon on it and very little cheese. The hot dogs were "ok". Bowlero needs to step back a little. Remember bowling is a fun and simple evening. People are happy with good ol fashioned snack food (grilled cheese sandwiches, hot fries, chicken tenders, etc). Refrain from "upscale"snacks. We also really like personable customer service and a staffed bar. Also appreciate your Pro Shop associates. They are hard to come by and really add a huge benefit to the bowling community. We will try again. Hopefully the CS will be better and they will bring back traditional bowling alley food.
