I have now had two dental implants performed by Dr Byfield and am about to embark on two more following a bone graft to my jaw by Mr John Russell last year to allow this. I have complete confidence in the Raglan Suite. So far my treatment has gone very smoothly and everything has been fully explained to me every step if the way. The appointments always run to time with e-mail and text reminders and all the staff I have dealt with have been really friendly and totally professional.

Bottom line is that by Friday/Saturday I was in so much pain across the side of my face that I had to do something about it and because I'm out of town from my NHS dentists needed to find somewhere that was low cost and not going to break the bank. Luckily a quick search found this place and they could see me Sunday morning - the good news it was only £65 for an appointment with follow up next week, the bad news is that I need root canal treatment but they've hopefully patched me up for a month until after this months travels. Really friendly staff, very modern surgery (actually inside the mega Sainsburys) - I was pleased with the care and they took the bulk of the pain away. I've had more fun weekends I can tell you - but the dentist did say this sort of thing I have can't be prevented so at least it's onto planning the next tea and cake odyssey!

The establishment lacked the skills to complete the work they had proposed and started and their solution was a transfer to a new dental practice. In hindsight, the treatment rooms themselves are fairly basic and do lack current more updated technologies and equipment which probably contributed to delivering a sub-standard service. At the end of the day Coppice View (Harrogate) hires its rooms to an assortment of dental care workers and I found out through this process dentistry is like any other trade, it's pot luck on the quality of workmanship you are going to get. I had prior to this awful experience based my trust in dentistry as a professional service so this was a difficult and rude awakening. The silver lining is I found a new wonderful dentist who I'm grateful took me on where Coppice View failed and that I can truly trust. Finally, my teeth look great and aren't sore when I chew anymore. My advice now, is please do as much research as you can, which isn't made easy and is more costly. You can check qualifications with the General Dental Council, (many "specialist" aren't necessarily fully qualified or registered dentists) and you can complain to them via the General Complaints Service if this is a private treatment or via the Citizens Advise if is NHS treatment as long as it's within the first year of your complaint. I should add the admin staff on the desk were really nice but hand on heart can't recommend this practice to anyone professionally.
