The experience I had at this hotel was indescribable.
As you can see from the photos, the views are spectacular! What you cannot see is the warmth you feel from the staff from the moment you arrive. Each guest is welcomed with cocktails on the lobby level terrace so that you can immediately begin to take in the surreal views as they gather the details of your reservation. No need to wait at the desk and lines here are unheard of, even in the high season. By the time we were halfway through with our first champagne toast and a few sips of the local bubbly, the front desk staff returned our passports and credit cards to us with all paperwork to sign off on.
The bellman/concierge escorts you down to your room as this hotel is a a bit like a maze, cleverly tucked into the hills of Gassin. The rooms are all that you can imagine - very spacious and the epitome of luxury. The perfect setting for a romantic getaway or honeymoon.
If you care to dine at the hotel, you are in for a treat at the Michelin starred restaurant. We chose to dine here on our first evening and the experience was beyond what we could have imagined. Superb food including a cheese coarse with an abundance of local choices and fresh herbs that you can select for your tea if you choose. Exceptional white glove service and the price tag to go along with that. But hey - you're in Saint Tropez.
The hotel itself was actually quite reasonable, considering what they are asking in the actual town of Saint Tropez, which is just 5 - 10 mins drive, if that.
Hotel Villa Belrose was an excellent choice and I dream everyday of returning! read more
