So, how does one cap off this experience? With an amazing lunch, that's how! To clarify, your options are a bit limited, let's not forget this, but still, this place has it all! Good service, awesome ambiance, and bitchin' food! All three of us in our party were thoroughly satisfied! I had an individual pizza that was fantastic! My wife had oysters and some other fish dish and she loved it. My daughter had spaghetti and judging by the empty plate? She definitely loved hers too. It was great, really! Do yourself a solid and give 'em a go if you have the opportunity. Cheers!

Because the location is SO cool (and you don't have to cart your luggage nearly as far up the hill…read moreas other hotels on the rock)! You can also easily access the ramparts (more direct access to Mont St Michel less crowds) through the back door with your key card. And the staff are all so friendly, kind, and accommodating. :-) Restaurant buffet breakfast is GREAT! And you will not need to eat lunch - trust me! For their dinner restaurant, please take my advice and spring for the more expensive prix fix meal - it's SO worth it! One night I had the cheaper option but - kinda meh. :-( But the 2nd night I had lobster salad, amazing rack of lamb, and yummy peach Melba for dessert. I left sooo satisfied and soo full! :-) One note, please ask that they be upfront and transparent about exactly which days their morning deliveries will be. B/c the amount of LOUD banging and clanging of said deliveries on the cobblestone street that starts RIGHT outside your room window on some days (Wednesday for me) from 6:30am til 9am is unbelievable. The racket is literally akin to having the drum section of a marching band right outside. If they had warned me I would have tried to have been asleep by 10pm. There is no way to mitigate the loudness either - no white noise machines or fans. Bring ear plugs - but even those probably won't help. Just go to sleep early those nights before so your sightseeing days won't be impacted.

We stayed here one night and it was a good experience. In lower season (early April), we paid…read morearound 120€ which is cheaper than most hotels on the actual Mont St. Michel, but close enough to be a 10-15 min bus/shuttle ride, with the stop located right across from the hotel. Location - I recommend staying close to Mont St. Michel (i.e. one of the hotels located just 10-15 min away from the actual "island") so you can get there early in the morning to avoid the crowds and see the tide changing. It's much cheaper than staying on the actual island which can be double the price. It was super easy to get to the "island" via the shuttle which comes really frequently. There's also a few restaurants close to here (Relais du Roy, next door), and a few places for a quick snack (Brioche Dorée, across the street, right where the big gift shop is). The big gift shop also sells food, water, etc. if you're hungry/thirsty or shampoo, soap, etc. Breakfast - The breakfast was included in the hotel rate, and was decent but not amazing. I didn't expect anything exceptional - it was a standard continental breakfast (yogurt, bread, croissants, cheese fruit, juice, tea, coffee). There's not really anything served hot, as most everything is cold. They start serving breakfast at 7 am so that you can take the early shuttle if you want. Room - The room is pretty small, like most European hotels. Its decor was pretty artsy/whimsical. The bathroom was fine too, a bit small but decent. I found the hotel to be clean and fairly new (not super modern and new, but it didn't feel like it was built in the 80s and never touched since then). Amenities - The WiFi was pretty slow and it was annoying that every 15 minutes or so it would boot you off and you would have to reconnect. We were only here for one night, so it wasn't so terrible, but if you are expecting to have fast/good internet and it's a deal-breaker for you, you may want to stay elsewhere. They don't have standard bath products in the hotel - just a multi-purpose shower gel & shampoo all in one product, so if you want conditioner and separate shampoo, bring your own. Parking - If you call them ahead of time, they will give you a one-time code to enter the gates into the area (it's a one-time, personal code just for you, so if you want to drive out of the area and then return, you'll have to get a new code from them). We got the code the day before our arrival, and it was 4€ for overnight parking which is pretty reasonable. The parking lot was adjacent to the hotel, so we didn't have to walk far with our bags. Overall, the location was great and perfect for the one night we wanted to stay here. It was worth paying a little extra for being so close to the shuttle, and I'm glad we didn't stay on the actual island, as we were able to get there super early in the morning anyways, and saved 100€ or so by staying just slightly further away. I would recommend this place if you're looking to stay overnight in the area.

It was now almost 1pm and a nice hot lunch sounded so good, especially considering that we had been walking in the rain, searching for a place to eat. We found out during our meal that this was a hotel too! Although we didn't need a hotel room, the restaurant was very cozy and nicely decorated. It had a very rustic French atmosphere that was both pleasant and comfortable. We were seated at the very front next to a window and near the front door. We were welcomed as soon as we arrived and given menus. They took our order of a cassoulet of mixed vegetables and lamb and a moules mariner with frites. We also ordered an eggplant starter and some drinks. First off, the eggplant starter was so well prepared and nicely plated. Perfectly seasoned and delicious! After we finished the starter we were served our main dishes. Both of our dishes were served hot, nicely seasoned, beautifully presented. Please also note that the portions were generous, though not overly. Just about perfect! We had such a wonderful experience and the service was attentive, friendly and welcoming. There was a small mistake on our order, they had brought us something mistakenly that we didn't order and they didn't make a fuss about the misunderstanding. When we visit Mont Saint Michel again (probably next year) we will definitely try to stop by and enjoy another meal!

The food was good, and I especially enjoyed the traditional Mont Saint-Michel omelet, a dish for which the area is well known.

When we arrived we had no one to greet us, and had to call to get in. When we arrived in the room we found small black stains on the bed and some dust resembling bed bug feces, and there was yellow pee and toilet paper in the toilet bowl ready to greet us. Additionally there was no fitted sheet for the bed. The curtains are a hand crank which takes 30 seconds to close. We left as soon as we arrived. We were only given a partial refund.

It is quaint and very french. They have great choices for ala carte and quite a few prix fixe menus to choose from. Since living in Germany fish is hard to come by so we were excited to eat what they had. Mussels were not in season so that would not happen, but either way, we knew we were going to have a great meal. For my starter I had the seafood salad, not your typical salad made out of mayo, it was smoked whitefish and salmon on mesclun green. It also had perfectly cooked shrimp. With a side of homemade sauce, this salad was delicious. My husband had oysters caught that day. My kids, had terrine de campagne which they ate up in a heart beat. For my main course, I had the pink trout almondine and it was amazing! Trout was light and flaky perfectly seasoned. With simple sides of potatoes, white rice and carrots, the fish was the main attraction. My husband had a white fish in what looked like beurre blanc and he ate the entire thing. My sons had steak hache with fries. Dessert was creme brûlée while my husband had the cheese plate which consisted of Port Salut, Pont l'eveque, brie and camembert. They were awesome and I wanted to trade even though my creme brûlée was creamy and perfect. This little jewel in this little northern French town is a great place and one worth visiting. Simple french food that will fill your stomach and and senses.
