The hotel is satisfactory for what it aspires to be - a relatively inexpensive place to spend the night. The room is small - the main part is only two feet longer and six feet wider than the bed. The pillows are an odd, square shape. There's a small closet. The bathroom is fresh and adequately sized. There's a 24" TV, and, unlike the other reviewer, my reception was fine. WiFi is free and works well, except you have to re-login every 4 hours or so.
Hardly anyone uses the in-room telephone these days, but I had occasion to and while it is a push-button phone, it transmits the old rotary phone clicks, so you can't use it for touch-tone applications.
There's a hot water pot and a selection of coffee and tea. The desk is adequately sized to get some work done.
Morning breakfast is 5 stars - good selection of fruit, meats, cheese, yogurt, eggs, sausage, bacon, breads, juices, and coffee.
The staff is friendly. The room is clean. No mini-bar, no fridge, no iron/ironing board (may be available at front desk; I didn't check), no clock-radio. The room has A/C and heat, but I didn't need either one.
Good restaurants within one block. Walking distance to RER and to Versailles. Nick says if you want a relatively inexpensive base of operations for your stay in Versailles, check it out. read more
