Hotel Bristol in Montbeliard was such a surprise when walking in. I expected it to cost bunches…read moreof euros more than it did. The tariff was approx 80 euros. Anyway..I have to get to best thing about this hotel...an indoor swimming pool !!! are you kdding????..and a really nice one !!!! ..so when I was told of this, I had to ask twice about he pool and had the lovely/accommodating/charming reception girl show me. This the main reason I am writing this review for a hotel. Upon viewing the indoor pool I decided on the spot to extend my stay in Montbeliard, VERY close to the AMAZING PEUGEOT MUSEUM..and host to the worlds CHRISTMAS MARKET. I must go experience this...supposedly there is nothing like it. NOT common in France, spacious rooms..but this hotel had large rooms with bathrooms you would have at the Four Seasons. The staffs treats everybody as though there were royalty....even an orange is deliverd on a beautiful plate on a doily. Any need/request is immediately addressed. As soon as you walk into this hotel, the color pallete and interior design makes it so inviting. Again, the French couldn't do enough for their guests. I am going to have to myth bust the bad rap that the French often get. After spending an extended length of time in this country...I have NOT one complaint. They are a sterling example of great hospitality and pleasing all visitors and doing everything to make them happy. See ya at Christmas time !!!

I was in Mulhouse for a long weekend in June, 2013. Loved this hotel -- not fancy, just nice,…read moreclean, cute and well located in the city. Private off-street parking. Lovely, simple breakfast. Front desk attentive, friendly (brought me a glass of wine while I was waiting in the lobby, sold me postage, had maps and advice galore). Room was large, nicely appointed in what I'd call (for Americans) Pierre Deux Deluxe, bed very comfortable. Bathroom recently remodeled with all high-end fixtures, materials.

Highly recommend ESPECIALLY if you are coming to town for the Christmas markets…read more The front desk staff was very professional and friendly. This was especially appreciated since I had accidentally booked a room for 1 versus for the 2 of us. The room was comfortable and clean. There was a kettle. The shower had great water pressure and hot water. There was a bathtub if that would be of interest to you. The parking garage is a quick walk (less than 5 minutes) IF you go the right way - our map app took us around the block vs. a straight line. The breakfast was nice and had excellent croissants.

This was a nice little, reasonably priced hotel in the quaint village of Mulhouse. Just a couple…read moreblocks from the main train station, very easy walk. There is also a post office along the way to mail those postcards to friends. If you're here for Art Basel, it's about a 20-25 minute to Basel train station. The place is nice and clean. A continental breakfast is available for 11 euros. Cereals, fruit, charcuterie, nuts, prunes, teas, and amazing BREAD! So fresh! Probably baked just a few hours prior. Rooms are nice, small, but that is very common in Europe. Wifi was spotty, but we would walk down a block to the cafe and was fine. Staff are super friendly and helpful. There's many walkable restaurants, patisseries and the Garden Ice Cafe that stays open till midnight. Most places do close early. A lovely town square park across from the hotel as well. My favorite thing about this place was the hotel cat, Bling-Bling! A calico who is the biggest lover and wants your attention. This made it special for us, missing our pets back home.
