4 Stars for a great hotel in a killer location with a charming little courtyard!
I picked the hotel based on the location and price. This little place is situated just a short walk from the center of Strasbourg and is extremely affordable. Considering the lodging options I've had in other popular French cities (~coughcough~Paris~cough~) this was an oasis!
I knew that there wouldn't be a dedicated parking lot for the hotel and was worried if I'd find somewhere close for my rental car. Luckily we immediately found a spot on the same road. The parking machine said that nonresidents of that street could only stay for 2 hours, but luckily the concierge at the front desk of the restaurant let us know that we could pay a few hours that would be allocated to the next day since it was already late.
They have a lovely outdoor courtyard you pass as you walk into the hotel and up to the front desk. The gentleman at the desk was very friendly and spoke English.
The room itself was very adequate and surprisingly spacious for the price. The bathrooms have obviously been updated, as have the hotel art pieces. The TV however was straight out of the early 90s! No worries- if you're inside watching TV on a great night I'm Strasbourg then you have bigger issues!
My fella did the breakfast offered (~$10 buffet) but a local bakery wouldn't be a bad way to spend a morning either.
I'd definitely recommend this hotel (mostly for the location!). Clean, attentive, and ADORABLE! read more
