3.5/5: the hotel itself is lovely. Located very conveniently to the center of town (but not so…read moreclose you have to fight the tourists to the door everyday). Our room was on a busy corner, however, on the weekend we got 2 rounds of insane late night noise - first when the bars/restaurants close and then when the nightclub closes. Sunday night was plenty quiet though. During the day a group of men (possibly homeless) sets up camp at the same corner. They are relatively harmless, and when they start to cause a little more trouble later in the day, they are usually moved away by the police. The suite we had was spacious and had plenty of storage and a nice enough bathroom. The beds were terrible- stiff, creaky mattress with the smallest, flattest pillows I have ever seen. The time of year we visited was chill but not too cold, but the hotel had turned off the air and turned on the radiators. This meant we couldn't control our own heating and the room was stifling when we first walked in. When trying to open a window, we discovered only 1 of 3 windows of our corner room could open, and we were able to more easily manage the room temperature that way. Positives include location, price, and the interior decoration (truly fitting into the Alsatian atmosphere). Staff were polite and helpful and most spoke at least French, German, and English proficiently. Despite the weekend noise and terrible beds, we would probably stay here again!

We spent 1 night in room 363, a corner room overlooking the Grand Rue walking street below. I…read morerequested a room in the old 1/2 timbered part of the building (check), a shower vs. a tub w/ enclosure (check), & 3 extra pillows (got 2 of the 3 extras). Overall, my requests were filled pretty well - especially for a first-time stayer at this hotel & from using a non-BW website to book. The room was in the old part of the building but recently renovated in nice modern style. We liked the old/new of the room & hotel. The room was a bit small (just a bit smaller than at other BWs in Strasbourg for a similar room) but not problematic at all. Who spends time in the hotel other than sleeping & showering? There was no in-room coffee maker contrary to what the confirmation stated. Not a big deal but they really should be in all rooms since that's advertised & sold as an amenity. Air conditioning worked great. We used it although it wasn't hot outside to avoid street noise below. Breakfast was great. Some hot food, the usual meats/cheeses, & a great selection of breads! OJ, coffee, & sparkling water were unlimited. We loved the location of this BW hotel. Just 1 block from Petit France & 10 mins walk to the cathedral area. We parked at a private lot below the museum of modern art (€ 7,20 per day) so we didn't use the hotel's private parking. This is now our favorite BW hotel in Strasbourg. We've stayed at all 3; this has become our go-to hotel in Strasbourg.

Stayed in a room for 2 adults at the Ibis Hotel during Christmas of 2023. We choose this location…read morespecifically to be closer to the Place de la cathédrale centre and les marchés de Noël. When we walked in, the environment was beautiful and super welcoming. Christmas decorations were up and the Hotel staff were so nice and helpful with our check-in. We came early and they quickly got us into our rooms before our check-in time. The hotel does ask for you to pay a temporary deposit in case you damage the rooms. But it was refunded back of me right after our visit. The Rooms: The hotel room was roomy and specious. We had a beautiful view of Strasbourg from our window. The queen bed was comfortable and spacious. The bathroom and the shower were spacious. Constant hot water during the shower. Breakfast (le petit-déjeuner): We paid for our room along with a free breakfast. The breakfast was delicious and there were many options. Pain au chocolats, baguettes, cereal, yogurt, eggs, café, chocolate chaud, pâtisserie, and more. Many options if you are vegan or vegetarian also. Overall: I would stay here again! The environment, staff, cleanliness of the rooms, and the welcoming space is great.:)

This listing should really be renamed Hotel ibis Strasbourg Centre Halles…read more I stayed here for one night in late December 2018, staying here to visit the Christmas Markets. There's a closer ibis right across from the train station that might be more convenient - this is just a 0.4mi walk from the train station but it's along large streets so the walk felt longer than it actually was if you are dragging luggage. Check-in was easy and friendly. The place is really like a motel akin to a clean best western. Beds were comfortable. For bath products, we're provided a bottle of mixed shampoo/body gel, and a smaller bottle of the same is provided as hand soap by the sink. So, I'm glad I bring my own shampoo, conditioner and soap. It's really quiet in the surrounding areas, so we were able to sleep with the windows open, which felt nice since the hotel heat was kicked up during the winter. We left the hotel once and came back late at night - and that was very convenient. WiFi was not that great.
