Accommodating staff (the lady at the desk came up to our room at almost midnight to open our window). THE BEST breakfast buffet we had whilst in France BY FAR. Otherwise an overnight parking stay can be 30 euro!)

The hotel is situated on a nice square so we had very nice views out of our window. There is construction going on (improvements) to the square, but all the businesses were open and there was still lots of activity. The room was spacious and we received great housekeeping service every day. The hotel was super clean throughout. Breakfast, included in the room rate, was very good, and there was lots of variety. You were able to visit anytime during the several hours each morning that the buffet service was provided, rather than having to make a reservation for a table, which was great. The staff, including Laure, at the Front Desk, were very friendly and helpful in calling cabs, giving recommendations for restaurants, etc. She was especially nice and pleasant with each encounter. We had a great lunch/afternoon snack there, also, at the outdoor bistro, Café Coronne, at the hotel. We treated ourselves to the delicious "charcuterie" board, which featured the wonderful patés, sliced meats and cheeses, wonderful French butter, and assorted greens, and great bread. For dessert the creme brullee and café au lait was fantastic! This hotel is highly recommended as it's super conveniently located downtown, so you can walk lots of different places easily. The only drawback was the construction, which isn't the fault of the hotel, but did take away visually just a tiny bit. All in all, though, great visit.

The chairs were at least comfortable to sit on in the evening and there was Wi-Fi in the rooms. The beds were typically European - narrow - and anyone travelling with room-mates will find the cramped quarters something to get used to. The hotel did feature an excellent lounge and restaurant on-site, and we had a free breakfast every morning - I believe set up especially for our group, so I don't know that all the guests receive this. It was set up in a meeting room. Breakfast was well done with the usual croissants, sausage/bacon, etc. The hotel also offered a catered French dinner for our group, as we were celebrating our final day of a 14-day tour. There were some interesting choices and nothing outstanding but I suspect also the tour organizers may not have paid for the top selections. Meal was good for what it was. A comfortable stay. As well, the hotel is walking distance from a shopping mall, the transit line, and a McDonald's. Staff I talked to were courteous and helpful.

Our three night stay was booked via a web site and everything went well with those arrangements. Price was pretty reasonable, too. And it is newish, with good technology, cable, WIFI, good a/c, secure key-card door locks and elevators requiring passcodes to operate. Breakfast wasn't bad, and better then many in Europe. Our room was comfy, though minimalist. Note: lights in hallways are motion-activated, which is a bit off-putting when the elevator door opens at night and it is pitch black until you step into the hall. (Our in-room safe did not work, though the hotel staffer sent to address it was very apologetic. But it was never repaired during our stay). We unluckily arrived right behind a twenty-person tour group and it took about 30 minutes for the one front desk clerk to process them, which wasn't bad but would have been better with two clerks! But on the other hand...Keeping down personnel costs seems to be a key goal. Sleeping rooms are not cleaned every night, but only at the end of your stay or 7 days, whichever comes first. But there are optional services upon request. Housekeeping was lackluster at best: the floors in our room were grimy, the kind that make you think twice about walking barefooted. The hallway carpets were visibly stained and just plain dirty. All in all, a safe, reasonably priced, modern hotel in an Uber-convenient location, with friendly, helpful staff. But potential guests should be aware of the slim-staffing and poor housekeeping aspects.
