There are books in English too, with a Welsh theme. The best thing about T-Hwnt is the friendly man in there who is very helpful. I bought some cards today but will be back for gifts in future. I first went to Picton Castle with the gardening club . In the spring the woodland gardens are rich…read morein bluebells and a wonderful collection of azaleas and rhododendrons. The walled garden is full of interesting plants and a formal pond in the centre. The castle is lived in and guided tours go at regular intervals telling of its 700 year old history. There is a plant sales area in the courtyard,a gift shop, art gallery and licensed restaurant. I took the grand children there this year, they were fascinated by the fernery grotto, enjoyed playing in the trees and the adventure play area, they liked the little maze,and enjoyed walking around the wooded walks finding various animal carvings on the way round. There are events through-out the opening season (March to Sept) From Oct to Dec the castle/garden is open at weekends.
