The main problem is that they often sell over-the- date products. Not only that I saw today a box of chocolate cake for kids that is 10days over the expiry date at only 30% off the reg price!! And honestly selling bags of seaweed flakes that are two full months over the date for 30% off???I don't know what to say to that kind of audacity. They shouldn't be selling those things in the first place and not sure if I would even take them even if they were free. Don't they have any legal requirement here for food products? Anyway, check the expiry dates when you buy and say something to the people who work there. It's just not acceptable.

It's a straight shot from Montgomery to here. The place is clean, well stocked & the cashiers are rather more friendly than the inner city people that I experience more often. However the check out lines are all combined. You have a screen telling you to which till you'll be behind a little old lady buying 509 cans of cat food, and paying in change. Most of other supermarkets will have to run BIO products separately in order to calculate how many eco-checks you can use. There are more BIO products in Delhaize, the quality of products are much better than Carrefour in general. I bought some BIO mixed nuts with raisins which turns to be very tasty!

And I love all the deals, combos and Weekly Suggestions. Just went there tonight, for example, and picked up some mussels and a vegetable/spice pack. They have great dinner ideas and a wonderful selection of almost everything. If you ask, they give you "pochettes" with cool little animal stickers, too. Will always keep shopping at Delhaize.

Although it is a bit smaller, I did find some Philippine products I hadn't been able to find anywhere else so far.
