Early the next morning, I had a message from Adam B. Once I got to work, I returned the call and quickly described my issue and what I believed it to be. The first available appointment wasn't until Monday (it wasn't urgent, so I wasn't worried about going the weekend). I got my timeframe. I had a couple other appointments that day, so I ended up taking the day off so I could easily be available. I immediately liked that they told me who would be arriving - AND that was who arrived. I also liked that they use a customer portal that allows you to have some security if you pay online or to review your records. Christian arrived (there was one other person with him). It took him a couple minutes to diagnose the issue he believed it to be, and it took him not a lot longer to determine that diagnosis correct. He quoted the price, I agreed, and he got to work. After finishing the work, he determined the original issue I'd believed it to be wasn't quite needing to be addressed (but will be in the near future). We discussed options, including ways I could save a bit. Christian was personable and explained things in a way I could understand. The issue was likely caused by me, but he managed to avoid using the word "idiot" at any point. The repair was done in a timely manner. The price ended up being a bit lower than quoted. I appreciated his honesty as he very easily could have pointed me toward a repair not needing done yet. It also became obvious the last person I'd used had really only done half the job. Everything has worked beautifully since Christian finished. There are likely a couple more projects I'll tackle in the near future, and I won't hesitate to return to Grateful Plumber. The housecall was $59, but that was credited toward the repair once I decided to have them do the work. Friendly employees. Good follow-through. Fair pricing. Quality work. Problem solved. In July 2025, we had busted field tile, we again called Winters Plumbing, busted tile was next to electrical cable wiring, they had to do some hand digging. We also had pine trees about a foot away from tile, they were not damaged. Ground digging was minimal. As this tile ran down to a ditch, they put a varmint cover over end. This was a very difficult job, ground very hard, weather in the 90's. They stayed until job was finished 7:00 in evening or later. They worked very hard, did very good work. Winters shouldn't send plumbers out on well repair tickets if they aren unqualified to work on wells. It cost me $471 to find out Winters didn't know what they were doing regarding well repair. The employees were polite and a manager followed up with me, but then did nothing to make things right. I told him I'd withhold submitting online reviews until He had a chance to make things right, and he never responded to me.

Carlisle was less expensive and did a very good job. They gave us multiple options and quotes as well as their recommendations on how to proceed. The sewer was a tight squeeze between houses, trees, and our gas line. They dug it up and replaced it, as well as some additional plumbing inside to reroute a pipe without any incidents. They were very good at explaining to me what they were doing and were courteous and professional when asking me to run water to test the line. I would recommend them for future plumbing projects.

We received a quote for a new hot water softener. We agreed on the product and cost. The morning of…read moreinstallation, I received a call stating the product at the warehouse was actually a different price (about $100 more) than what was quoted. I was told the system had not been updated so it showed the old cost. I don't think that was fair and not my fault seeing as we were told by the rep that came to our house that they have new iPads (he was getting used to using) with the updated pricing and documents. It put me in awkward position. After further conversations, we received the product at the original quoted price. Overall, customer service rep was very nice and respectful and installation was quick and efficient.
