"I'm referring you to a cardiologist." "Sorry to scare you and boops out the door.. So over the next 2 weeks while waiting for an appt with Cardio I worry and stress enough to have a heart attack!! When seeing the Cardio, 2 weeks later, he confirmed my heart was fine and he apologized for all this happening! (Lifepoint never did) This could have been a very different story had the NP come said, your EKG looks different than last year, do you have time to step back over and let's do it again. The technician placing the leads was obviously clueless about the task but it could have been remedied by one step, one re-do by someone with more experience. I believe Dr Beck has the best intentions with his practice and I know it must be hard to direct and manage staff, however after several correspondences with the business office where I explained why they should be happy with what they got from insurance and that I didn't feel I should have to pay the balance for sub-standandard care I was told there would be no adjustment. I relayed that I hoped they never let another 68 yr old female walk out of their office alone after being told she had had a heart attack. Additionally, for the 6 years I've gone there, each time there is new staff and technicians, the patient portal they use is disfunction and its impossible to ever call and talk to a person.
